so the 17500 rating could be the shop's fault I guess...
that "popular" hps lumen chart (don't have it on hand) shows 15000 for an average 150w bulb afterall...
I live outside US, so I'm stuck to 15-20€ (25$!) bulbs from top brands (hydroshop's cash register rings in the background...) I get to avoid credit card and just drive 15 mins tho.

Anyways good to know sylvania is still worth - will use it for 1-2 cycles more then

For all I know, a digi operates brighter than a coil. Yeah, $25 is kinda high for a 150. I might keep em longer at that price. Might be worth getting a lumen meter to know the best time to change.

With a meter, you might find a certain brand lasts longer than others.

o ye i have watched that channle for about a year now.he is doing good indoor things my plants outdoor and it could freeze where i live if they go to long.im just going to have to learn with hands on experiance.My females started showing sex before the males im pretty sure thats normal.so i guess the answer is about 4-5 weeks for total maturaty.if not ill have a bunch of half premature seeds all throu my sack .but who knows? i also think the normal wait for out doors is longer then indoors becuse of the natural changes the plant makes rather then forced light schedual.but again who knows?thanks for the responce.

You'll have a longer flowering interval outdoors. The length of your growing season corresponds to your latitude so you may be limited to certain strains. I'm at '34 (and ~2000 ft elevation) which pretty much eliminates the chance to grow long flowering sats. I've got more time than full indicas require so I usually look for a hybrid that isn't sat dominant.

Clear plastic sheeting really makes a difference for unexpected cold nights. A couple of tomato stakes and a sheet of plastic over the canopy (draped to the ground) will trap enough ground heat to save em.

You have to be quick to remove the plastic at sunrise, especially if the sunrise hits your plants directly. Leaving the plastic on too long could wilt your plants, invite mold/mildew, etc.

these ladies have had 4 weeks of veg before I tossed them into flower, the one on the left is blue dream the one on right right is sour jack. I've been feeding them "the other tomato" all phase and bloom nutes. Also some blackstrap molasses, a little extra pk and some blossom builder from atami, as well as compost tea

hehe thanks for the nice comments.im not to sure id go as far as calling her flawless lol.this plant has ben under tons of stress im hoping it turns out decent in the end .it smells kinda grapey thou.

well i hope it does. i grabed this clone from a dispencery i dont even know why .but it was about 2 months ago i just tossed it under my 26w cfl topped it once tied her down and here we are lol.im going to check on my out door grow tommrow. i had to dump it off at a freinds house to finish up.cause i moved to an appartment for a few months or longer doing house shopping.so i cant wait to see them been over 2 weeks.maybe ill snag a photo for you guys if im not in a huge rush.

here is an update on my outdoor grow.....sry for psting this in the 150 group thou but im so dam impressed with my first outdoor grow and i have some great news i had success with the plant sex its growing a few seeds and this smoke looks like some of the finest texters i have ever seen on buds in my life so far.

the top picture is the pk its about to swell idk how big that colas going to get with htat much light hitting her.the lower plant is some schawg seed i planted for fun.it smells like oranges and vanilla icecream and its loaded with trichomes i wish my cam took good macro close up shots.
