what do you mean by ""the hood turned 90 degrees ""
is it a vertcal grow?
i did vertical grow but it didnt give me any profit
and i find it annoying the 150 w hps shining in my eyes.

willy

i am with willy, i was thinking about it yestirday and if i turn it 90 degrees its gonna be shining straight into my eyes. i think im going to put 2 X 100 watt CFL's next to the other 100's. hopefully this will help.
BTW Willy everything is looking absolutely amazing! keep up this great work!

(Turn) the hood so the bulb element parallels the depth of the cab as opposed to the width. Light comes from the sides of the bulb - not very much from the ends.

I know what you mean about the bare bulb. It'll mess up the eyes.

I should have been more descriptive. Mounting the hood front to back means the bulb element parallels the short wall (depth) = better light distribution. It's just a matter of whether your cab is deep enough to accommodate the hood and still get the doors closed.

Nice work, JC. You'll get better light distribution with the hood turned 90 degrees.

This definitely is better light distribution than before!!:jump:
thanks for the great advice DiscoBiscuit!:thank you:
i added an extra 32 watt cfl to the right of the HPS, for a little extra light.

Darkvade: that looks sooo tasty!! Bet its gonna be a sweet treat!!

I noticed upon looking in today, that she is drinking less then previous weeks. I have been feeding about every 3rd day. Its been 3 days, and the bottom is still a litle moist, and the pot is a bit heavier then I'd like. Maybe adding molasses is the reason?

Does your soil have alot of perlite or anything that causes alot of drainage?Just let it dry out more and then start again when its dryer.

What are the benefits of adding Molasses? I am a ebb/flow grower, will it help?

Molasses act as plant carbs that the plant is looking for in flower to help thrive and beneficial microbes use the carbs to feed off in the root zone. For hydro applications u can use Black Strap Molasses but id recommend HUMBOLDT HONEY for carbs for hydro.

Hi there id say most growers are doing molases to add density, carbs and also surgas to help build crystal and some say taste better if you add molases.1 teaspoon per gallon is reccomended.

I heard the main benefit of molasses was feeding the microbes, other than that just trace amounts of micros. hearsay of course.
