Hello NE1, On the light I don't think you would want to put anymore in front of the light. You could add some t-5 cfls and put them in corners of top of your box. You would then light up what your worried about, plus you would have more light to flower more plants.
The soil mix you have is close to what am changing to. It has enough nutes in the soil for the whole grow. Be careful with extra nutes use 1/4 dose at first. I am a newish grower also, I have had 4 successful grows indoor and 4 or 5 outdoors. So not so new, but to me I have a lot to learn. I am an American, my Moms full blooded German, her people came here in 1550, no shit. The men went to the same place they came from and got German wifes. My Dad was in the Army and I was born in Germany in an army field hospital close to Frankford? in 1957. So I am half German, but don't speak too many words. Nice talking to you. I keep track of you. Don't mind hearing stuff about Germany. I think I can offer some advice. You have a plan and stick to it. You will learn alot....rw I put a couple of pictures of a Mellon Kush that I harvest this morning, wish you could smell it.

Hey NE,

you just asked if you could use an other chamber with 70W Hci für veggin´?
why not? just attach the 70w box to suck air from it though the Vegichamber to the carbon scrubber...

if you cant do it this way set the vegi in front of the flowering cab but be aware of high humidity in late flower!
By the way: you don´t need 70W Hci just try 18W flurencence and maybe one "PLL"... they have lots of power using the 865 pectrum you can keep your plants small and branchy!

Hi everybody :)
Hello Grow engineer, stihgnobevoli (stniojreferpi :))...nice to have you here :)

Time for a little update...This is the state of the box from yesterday (saturday 28th):

- 26th Day of Flower for the UBS-01 -
Resinproduction has started, little by little some punget smell arises in the box...i like. No more balls so far...

- Day 22 for Bagseed-12/12ers -
Gave them to little water/nutrient solution, so they have been looking bad (very drooping leaves). Gave 200ml of water+EWC+Biobizz Grow (molasses)+algamic. Now they are on their way of recovery. Sighted first pistils :). They are on the left side of the picture:

- Day 10 for The Pure & Grapefruit 12/12ers-
The junior(ette)s are quite fine imho. Growing by nothing but water+rootstimulator+ a few drops algamic in my selfmade growmix (jiffies surrounded by planting medium, which is coco+pottingsoil+mykos). Here's a close-up of what they looked like on their 10th day:

I'm quite happy with the developement so far. I took them out of the box for watering and realized, that they are in fact much darker green, then they appear on the pics. The spectrum of the 150W CDM elite is obviously quite yellow(red?)...i like :)

This is a very basic sketch of what i thought may be a way to build a veg/mum-box attached to the existing cab (not sure if i need/want it ne-way...but i have my 70W CMH unused atm and i get wood for free):

Does this look good to you, or will it not work?

Please excuse the very basic (language) update, i'm quite short in time this weekend. Normally i need some time to rework my english.
Will be back for more in 1-2 days...things are starting to become exciting now *g*
best wishes for everyone of you... :) NE1

Dude, awesome little set up! Your drawing should work fine with what you pictured.
Your soil mix sounds fine. If you have access to the full bio buzz line use it all. I had
A great first grow with bio buzz and a soil mix like yours. If you can get some more watts into that flow chamber without overheating it you will have have more goodness to enjoy.
Best wishes, OVERGROW EUROPA!!!!

Hi fellas, i got a day off today :) so i'm right back...warm welcome to the new visitors!
Maj.Cottonmouth: "Looking great man, thanks for the update."
Thank you! Pleasure is mine. Even more, because you guys give plenty of nice feedback. I love IC.

Thanx a lot. I'm actually thinking to support plants/soil-life during flower with BioBizz Top Max (which is said to be mainly molasses and humic acids - why is there no ingredients listed on the bottle...asses *g*) Good to hear my Veg-mom-plan should work if i want to do it.
Do you really think, i need more light? This cab is only for self-supply (0-3 Joints a day) and i got 3750 lumen per sqft (bulb total 15.000 lm)...also penetration and spectrum is quite ok. Heres some relevant data about the bulb i use:

Think this is a quite nice price/energy-performance ratio. If i add any lights it will be either an extra 70W CMH (allready got ballast) in the cooltube, or PL-Ls in the corners (either top, or sides) of the box. I would install them like this:

But that's, if at all, whistles from the future. Ill do the first run only with existing setup/plan and see what i'll get.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a pic, of the TP and GF 12/12ers i made last night (Day 11). Its only 24h from the last pics.

Think the growth difference is visable :) ...they start to push the pedal to the metal *g* ...maybe i really need to do the "corkscrew-LST" i was thinking about.

I even coped to make kind of macro-resin-shots with my cellphone-cam. It's UBS-01 on her 27th day of flowering...

Tomorrow is labour-day in germany, so i gonna be demonstrating for equal rights, a balanced society, stakeholder-values (and of course against fascism, the unmoral rich and powerfull, MJ-prohibition *g*)...what sounds like political activism is actually a traditional big beerdrinking party with friends :)...the more ambitious fight neonazis (if there aint any, the cops) later on... if everything works out like planned, i'll be on the balcony of a nice girl i recently made friends with, smoking weed...gettin closer...
Thanx to karma (there's no old man in heaven) even the weather is gonna be nice n warm...
Best wishes from springtime-germany...have a nice day everyone!!

2 joints a day.. 1.5g you will need th pull 100-120 grams per 10 week cycle. Then you need to figure not every plant grown from seed will be worth smoking...at least in my garden...

That size box with 300-400 watts will produce what you need if you can keep it cool and have vegged babies ready to refill it after....

You can grow nice a nice lil crop under the 150 though, best luck!

I'm with that ^^. Fortunately there's no need to worry. Think i gonna be ok... i'm blessed to not need cannabis, i just smoke for recreation purpose. There's a lot of days i don't smoke any weed and two joints for me is far under 1g.
Hope i gonna reach 10-20g a month, that would be totally sufficient. Thinking of non-perpetual, that would be <60 gramms every 3 months -> 0.5g/W.
btw.: i browsed your albums...nice pics ;)

Hey wayne,
hehe, i'm not cool with the perfidiously electronic media too (and i'm not even 30). Had a very good time, she was singing romantic songs and playing the guitar. She's really good! Could have stayed there for hours, but both of us need to work very early tomorrow. Got a long Kiss ;)...
Green girls are fine too,...healthy, growing, stretching,...Life's good...
Update soon...need to raise post count to 50... 4 to go :)

NE1, Those are thick stalks, hold heavy Buds.lol You think it the Yucca? How far you move the plants from the light? In 12/12 from seed, They grow in a veg period and when they start real flowering, they don't much taller. That's when you want as much light as they can take and not burn. That what I was talking about when I was talking about your light. The littler plants don't need it like the more mature one. Your looking mighty fine, keep going. Your friend ..rw

everything has a relationship. the lights have a relationship with the leaves which have a relationship with the roots which have a relationship to the nutes.

you can use big lights with small plants but you will have to water more often as they will have access to more light which will in turn make them grow faster using more water. a good exmaple is in hydro. plants explode once they start taking up nutes.

if you don't have bright lights you don't need to water often as the plants won't be growing that fast. when these relationships get out of balance that is when the plants start suffering. too much food meants the plants can't use it all which causes the pH to go out of balance which causes the leaves to not be able to absorb light and make food, which leads to the plant killing off non essential services such as roots since it can't do anything with all that water and nutes being pumped into the plant. less roots means the pots dry out slower which leads to overwatering and bugs and etc, etc...

etc...

:cue lion king music:

its like the circle of life.

:thank you: wayne. Havn't been able to get yucca yet, so its "luck" :) ...don't know, but if you say those stems look good, i'm with you...hope they'll get a good load to support *g*...gonna give them bigger shoes tomorrow or so

@ roofwayne & stihgnobevoli
What you say absolutely makes sense. You sum it up pretty simple...think i got it. Thanks!
A 150W CMH is of course quite a nice veg-light ...when it comes to budding i might wan't to get more light (esp. of the red spectrums)...maybe LEDs spotting the more mature plants...long time to think it over / lurk around on IC
I gonna do this run with what i got and maybe improve things in late summer (will be having plenty of money then :))

I've got a picture of 2 Northern Lights (back/sides) and a Bagseed Plant (front/middle), a friend of mine grew with nothing but a 150W CMH a while ago (hope he's cool with me showing them...scusi EST1900 *g*). He vegged them for ~3 weeks (same light). Grown in 4l pots. imo excelent results (was his first grow ever!). If i can get even close to 1/2 to 2/3 to that i'd be the happiest guy...not that i'm expecting, but dreams are for free. lol

Thanks for all the support. Take care everybody...yours, NE1
