come on in 00420. i dont have 10k or a huge grow room, just a 4x4hb xl  i think the advantage with this method with these strains will be that theyre normally low yield with minimal/no vegg. i just started feeding the sourbubs 1-1-1 GH 3-part yesterday since they were showing they needed more N than what they were getting from the biobizz root juice.

yeah bigbro, cant deny that i dont mind a chunky girl at all :rasta: i wont be able to grow during this next summer so this grow should take care of me until fall, thats part of the reason why im doing it.

Im signing on for this one!How do you keep them from getting rootbound?I had one plant in a 6-7gal pot that I veged for35-40 days(clone)it got rootbound bad in that 7 gal pot before I even started to flower.Ive got a pic just havnt loaded it yet.

you need to train the piss out of them young.
pinch, top, lst, whatever you prefer.
you can prune shit back and work on mad tops.
makes the longer veg worth it.
thats how i roll, works for me

sup frank, its an honor to have you drop in here :respect: thats what i had planned on doing. the sourbub clones have already been FIM'd, the chemSGs and the bubba creek are still too small to do anything with.

bugbud, only a few times ive really had rootbound issues. alot of the time actually after my grows theres a decent amount of matter that the roots dont even reach. i plan on staggered them up though in size, as the sourbubs will need bigger cups in 2-3 weeks.

Out of curiosity you do realize you can get almost three harvests out of that same amount of time right? I have seen some monster indoor plants here in cali but only cause some of my buddys are scared to grow larger numbers of plants. I consistently yield more then the ones that grow that style. Wishing you the best of luck with this project. I am sure you will be smoking and relaxing all next summer.

15 week vegg using a waterfarm, now that would be a big bitch right there. yea i know chubby, but my flowering ballast and bulb both just blew, plus im not gonna be around much the next 3 months. its easier to vegg without being around much then it is to flower. plus i wont be able to grow come next summer/fall if i want to do what i plan on doing with my life during that time. so one big pull is all, plus i want to see what will happen with some of these strains.

sup Y, cmon in. this is my first time with FFA as well, and so far shes a pain. out of 7 cuts none wanted to sprout roots and all. i put the 2 that had new growth up top into dirt and under lights just to see what will happen. out of the paper towels and into dirt i have:

4/4 germ on the pommelos, 3 with decent tails one with just a nub.
7/10 germ on the mountain mix, was hoping for 10/10 but all 7 have long tails.
7/7 germ on zoo's white widow x blackberry bx2s, looong tails.

so, im at a crossroads. stop here, or add some more to it. i wont be flowering under only 600w anymore due to my ballast blowing, minimal new setup is gonna be 1000w, or 2 6's for 1200w, i just havent decided yet. this should round out the end of week 1 for half the show:joint:

I'd go with the 2x600's if you want to cover more square footage. if that's not a concern for you, then the 1000w should be fine, light penetration should be unequaled with the 1k, can grow some real trees with that. :rasta:
in a 4x4 homebox i would think a 1k would be more than sufficient...

also you can put a link to your diaries in your sig; that way it'll be easier for the peeps from the midwest growers thread to find them....

best of luck on the ffa, hope at least one of them pulls through for you :joint:

I'd usually advocate 2x600, but in this case, go for the thousand. You're going to need every inch of light penetration you can get.

wow thats crazy bro, mine root fast as hell...i took cuts from the cuts already and they are ready to be cupped too.what is ur method of cloning bro?
sounds like the beans are doin good, and zoo's cross sounds delicious...but then i wouldnt expect much less from zoo,hes a savage with it.
im aboutto get a tent too bro to do my playin around and experimenting in,and not take up the floor space in the big room with it.would you recommend the homebox or the secret jardin?
thanks bro,and goodluck on the ffa's .peace

i use jiffy peat pucks soaked in water mixed with root juice, just dip in the clone powder and insert. i dont know what it was with my ffa's, they just didnt want to go. the sourbubs came at the same time and were all rooted in a week. i say go hb, i dont know anything about the jardins, plus my hb was cheaper than what most places have it for.

For what its worth I got an FFA cut in a jiffy puck and she was pretty much on the way to becoming compost... I had to take her out of the puck, recut/shave the tip, dipped her in the Clonex and into the EZClone she went... she's perky but hella yella... maybe FFA don't like the jiffy?
