lol No my friend,I don't think it would be good any more.Organic ferts usaully have a shelf life of a year to a year and a half, that's in cool conditions.I bet if ya break the seal on it yud regret it.lol I'm sure it would make ya puke it'd stink so bad.Take care...BC

If it were me, I'd be half tempted to run a small plant just for the sheer amusement value of testing out what effect the 12 year old nutes would have.

I have a Females Seeds / Maroc plant acouple weeks into budding thats only 2ft tall & only gets 5-6hrs of direct sun a day, so we'll see, the potting soil/compost ive been growing it in should now be depleted, so at this point its Budswell only... :joint:

That poor, poor plant....

:badday:

That might not be a good idea man..... Get some regular ferts and test that shit on a plant that you dont care about (unless you already dont care about this one, of course)

The stuff is probably fine. Budswell is all Phosphorus, the stuff isn't going anywhere. P and K I wouldn't worry about, its the Nitrogen that I would sweat. Nitrogen compounds can decompose over time and be lost in the form ammonia (volatile). I would suggest use it and don't worry about it, especially considering the stuff is kind of pricey.

I'm with bakelite it's probably fine :yeahthats .
I would probably open it and check the smell first...
Maybe mix it up into a tea with casting and kelp before using it straight.

I've just read that when organic ferts get hot they go bad...I wouldn't use it, but hey I can go grab some more new bud swell if I want anytime, you might not have that option?

Well i had one FS/Maroc plant i put in the woods July 1st i was using it on, seemed to be working, then i went back Friday & it had been half eaten by some type of catapillars, i went ahead and harvested what was left (slightly immature) but what do you do.

Oh, it was opened & used generously back in 94-95 on acouple runs of clones that was gifted to me from a friend of a cousin. I haven't grown for 12yrs now due to many obligations & responsibillities, yet i managed to keep my light rail, a light/ballast set-up, containers & the nutes in a old family owned shed...

Even worse is i was gifted Arcata Trainwreck by a generous member probably 6 months ago now and all ive managed to do with it is keep it alive in a veg stage under a CFL, just can't ever seem to find the time to put some out, looking after my 78yr old mother thats bed-riddin half the time is a hand full + i'm just now getting over a fractured bone in my knee...
Hoping to find the time soon, hell i need the smoke, sick of the mercial around here & i'm still curious about all the Super Grow & Budswell i still have.

Peace :canabis:

I cant see why it wouldnt be alright - bat shit builds up over thousands of years and its very hot in a bat cave - I don't think there is anything to degrade really - If it does break down a bit then that is what it would do in the soil, isnt it?
