12 hours with hps or 24 hours with flouro...

Well - I've got some autos - Pehkuruders - in my vegging cab under flouros and they're doing pretty ok but since I've got the space in my flower cab I'm wondering if it might be better to put them there? They'll only be getting 12 hours of light per day but on the other hand it's gonna be HPS light and I could really use the space in my vegging room to get ready for both outdoors and my next indoor grow - I'm rooting clones for outdoor, vegging plants for outdoor, rooting clones for indoor and striking a bunch of seeds for outdoor... all of those plants are gonna need a whole lot of space shortly.

What would you do?

I would go with 24/0 with flouros

if you're using standard flouros and not T5's id say go with the HPS because even though you won't get the hours in, you'll probably get a ton more photons of usable light hitting the plants in those 12 hours from an HPS.. You don't specify the wattage of the HPS so I'm assuming a 400 or more. If the flouros are T5s however I'd probably say go for the 24/0. My 8-lamp T5 I've had for the last year or so has done nothing but impress me up to at least 14-18" of growth and since you're running AFs I'm assuming they aren't that tall yet..

if its easy to move in and out then move them under the hps for 12 hours then move them back to the floros.

Why not mix it up? Flouros for the beginnig hps for the end. Quiet frankly hps is a flower bulb but does well with vegging also. Just do something like a 12/12 or 18/6 with hps.
