Thanks for the info. I'll prolly stick with the GH pumps for now because I am extremely pleased with them, but I was looking for some inexpensive air diffuser. Good lookin out

I tryed the circular air stones in the beginning of my first DWC grow (4 weeks agrow) I have since switched to the flexible air diffuser. I first purchased the 4 ft air diffuser but ended up having to cut it down to make it fit better in the 5 gallon bucket. I have now swithed to the 3ft type and have been hooking up both ends of my dual air pump to the 2 ends of the air diffuser that way I can get some super duper air flow. They have been working great. Oh yeah I think the 3 ft diffuser was like 9$ Usd (7 eu) so they are pretty cheap. Also when the diffuser gets gunked up all you need to do is wash is off with some warm water.

Upgraded....16 Buckets.....

Upgraded....16 Buckets.....

So last night I am in the garden doing some routine maintenance and had a brilliant idea...( probably had something to do with the Kush I was blowing..lol)

I have room for a few more buckets on my rig...and guess what....in about an hour I managed to add 4 more buckets for a total of 16 :jump:

I plan to let them veg about another week and then do the switch to 12/12 to sort out the boys and girls...once I know what's what, I will go ahead and take some clones from some of the healthy girls....

Here are some pics as of last night....Enjoy :joint:

Vitals...
Ph: 5.6

PPMs: 1200

Room Temps: 65 degrees

4 New Buckets

Nice setup, can't wait until we see some flowers...

Do you plan on mothering the seeds you got from nirvana and going from clone next time around, instead of seed?

No doubt Pittsburgh Kush

I am running the bagseed to make sure I know all the in's and out of this system and this is my first run with the Flora Nova series so I wanna get used to the new nutrients, etc.

I am anxious as well and can't wait to see some buds!! :rasta:

Anyone have any suggestions on a good yeilder from Nirvana that has a really reasonable flowering time? Trying to get some ideas for my next order from them..

Peace... :joint:

hehateme19...I run a 32 gallon res..its just a Home Depot 32 gallon trash can ( $13.00) and sits right outside the grow room connected to my controller so I can do res changes and anything else with the lights off in the grow area...

It looks like water will flood that area at any moment.

Freeradical....you say that because???

These are pics from before I connected the system up. He wanted to see the res and controller locations in relationship to the buckets. No leaks anywhere...none...

Sorry to disappoint... :joint:

Folks love to hate huh! Why does he (free radical) say it looks like an imminent flood??? Haters. All water is dieing to move somewhere else, its just waiting for a crack in the dam so as to escape.

Anyways, back to OUR conversation......

Here are some stupid questions
You say that these are early pics. Ok. How do you connect the res to the buckets.......what type of product????? Be specific if possible (home depot, ace hardware, lowes, walmart) with names Ive been following your posts and see that you have added buckets whenever you want and was wondering how that happens.
Im pretty simple but pretty smart and can follow directions, or suggestions.

Like I before, I am running no res.......Just wondering though what you are doing cuz your plants look nice and good water levels

What up hehateme...

Like Spo said, I just followed Blaze's tut and made some minor tweaks. I already had a pretty good understanding of DWC, just not the whole recirculation aspect....

Here is what happens...and this may make you wanna add a controller and res..this whole system, 16 buckets pretty much maintains itself, I just check in every few days to take pics and to do garden maintenance.

When starting cuts or seedlings...

I fill the 32 gallon res with regular tap water. I have a small submersible 850gph pump that I use coming from a faucet about 30 feet away. I just run some 3/4 tubing from the sink to the res and pump the water from a 5 gallon bucket as it fills up...

As the res fills up it will start to flow down into your controller ( That's why the res sits on that crate. The whole system is gravity driven) you will see the controller fill up and as it does you will see your buckets start to fill up as well. I can have all my buckets about half full in about 25 minutes or so..Once the water levels are where I need them, I adjust my ph..add nuts..etc...like right now..I have been on 12/12 for about 2 days and I am slowy starting to add my bloom nuts to the res. I have a small airpump and a couple of airstones in the controller to help add O2 to the nutrients as they are being fed into the system..more air always makes bigger roots = BIGGER BUDS...:)

Once the water level is where I need it I simply turn on the airpumps and drop in the cuts that sit in the 5 inch netpots with hydroton and sit back...wait for the magic...

If you looked at those pics in the tutorial you can see how you and easily expand the system as your grow space requires..I started with the 12 buckets and when I realized I had about another 3 feet of space, I just daisy chained 4 more buckets off one of the drain lines in my controller. Connected another feed line the same way and threw in another Eco 8 air pump and there it was...4 more grow spots. I think DWC is THE BEES KNEES if you have the room to grow that way...you get alot more yeild per bucket IMHO...

I am throwing in some pics of my controller and the res so you can see how its all connected. I can take more pics if you need some more clarification on any of the connections...

Looking good hydro......What method did you say you are using??? I thought you said GH 3 part but I guess I will have to re read or maybe you can just answer for me.

hehateme19.....With this new system, I am running the Flora Series, from what I have read, is basically the Lucas formula in a nutshell. Very simple and right now, I am only trimming a little here and there. I took clones last night so I will post some pics this evening...

Peace...:joint:

Welcome TylerDurden  Sure thing man...pull up a chair..I am still getting my feet wet with this new system. So far so good. Its just some good bagseed I had from about a year ago...:joint:

Lemme know if I can answer anything about my setup...

So I took some clones, everything labeled and recorded in my notes..:joint: and thought I would throw up some pics of my Scrubber that I am getting ready to throw into the mix...just need to get some velcro to strap the carbon sheets to the core ... :muahaha:

As of this posting all the clones are looking really healthy and I am hoping for some roots in a few days...:joint:
