Is it possible to have a tent be a sealed environment? Considering I need to break the seal so to speak to do work?

Yes its possible to run ya tent as a sealed environment. ... but in actuality it will not be 100% solid but its def they way to go in your situation. Probably be easier to ditch the tent fram a wall real fast n seal the garage...

Controlled Environment Agriculture - search for the official definition, but basically no air in or out. You control the temp, humidity, and CO2 levels

I was really surprised how well my tent sealed. I definitely recommend it.
