Thanks zapr! I fell in love with blue cheese almost 10 years ago but never grew it, im going to wind up crossing it to rip franco loja's lemon cheese and possible throwing in great gardeners peaches n' cheese or cheeselicious if it needs some punch to it cause thats a cheese strain with og in it.
Seedling are looking pretty good, going to start throwing them more light in a few days.
I put a webcam inside my grow, so I can monitor the temperature and see how they are with just a click hehe
Fermenting this squash for some serious flower nutes, theyre is alot of juice already but in a few more days I will collect it. There is microbes in there breaking down all the potassium and nutrients thats inside of the squash and turning them into a concentrated form available to the plant.
Got an incredible heavy cream and blueberry smell just how I remember Blue Cheese. Blue cheese isnt funky like cheese, its sweet like cheesecake. Excited for it to finish up so I can start breeding with it.
Hey zaprjaques, thanks for stopping by! Haha thanks yea man its starting to smell strong, like elves are making some sweet blueberry jam in my desk.
I took some really tiny pink sized clones from the bottom I hope they root, so I dont have to do a re-veg hehe. It came out good so far, only thing I regret is letting that 1 top get so vertical, I wouldve had a bigger yield on my secondaries with a more even canopy.
Plan for harvest is to skipping the drying/trimming/curing and just throw it all in the freezer to make fresh frozen hash, same method like before. They are a sticky pain in the ass to work with without a freeze-dryer, but making hash with the living trichome heads is the tastiest.
A couple of more weeks on the blue cheese, shes starting to get really pungent hehe.
Next time till do a better job keeping the canopy even, if I topped early in veg instead of lst, I couldve prevented that donk from taking up the vertical space and got even light coverage.
Hey zaprjaques thank you man, maybe 10 more days before I chop them down and freeze em. Flowering 56 days, turned them to 11/13 the day after christmas. The tips of fan leaves are starting to fade from yellow to purple, can see it close in the last pic. She should be finishing up soon.
Haha true man, always appreciate you stopping by and checking out the plants though. Maybe ill post some pics of the hashish next week if im feeling better, I also have a 4x4 with shelves of shrooms, im thinking about converting to it back to a cannabis grow if I can get away with the smell. I can already smell my grow permeating the building though and its just a micro lol
PM me if you want the name of a company that sells 500 watters cfl's (veg or flower) $25.00 also they have self ballast 500 watter cfl's Used to grow with cfl's untill I up-graded --one can producr very good results with thwm - also I use 100 watters as side lighting which really icreased yields by 15-20%
For sure zapr I have one, its circled up in the top right. Needs to be opened up and serviced though, its homemade and the carbon hasnt been replaced in a while.
Thanks airplane, the title is a little dated though im actually using 96 watts of high output t5 lighting. There isnt anymore cfl in there anymore. The spread is so even with this fixture thats why I like it. Too much light and I usually get slow growth bleaching and foxtails.
Chopping tonight or tomorrow night. I thought I'd be able to get it in a the freezer in 2 or 3 jars, looks like im gonna need a bigger container hehe. I could store them in a bag but im kinda fussy about making sure nothing gets squished or pushed on.
Its going directly into the freezer and then into the water hash making process, so I wont know the wet plant yield. But I will weigh the hash afterwards and show if it melts to liquid or not.
