1000w Blockhead + Hashberry Grow. Come on in!

I recently put some of my females into flowering and figured i'd make a thread, since i haven't made one in awhile. Right now i have only 3 females flowering, but each are about 3 feet tall, and are only 3-4 days into flowering. There are 2 blockheads that i grew from seed, and 1 hashberry that i grew from seed also. Here is some other info on my grow:

Environment: Indoors, Soil Grow

Lighting: 1000w HPS w/ 6" Air Coolable Hood and Lens, 465cfm Dayton Blower for Ventilation. The lens is cool to the touch even when the light has been on for 12+ Hours. I have it about 6 inches from that plants, i'm hoping this will drastically improve penetration and bud growth.

Soil Mix is composed of 70% organic potting soil, 20% perlite, and 10% vermiculite.

Each Plant is in a 7 gallon pot w/ holes for drainage, although they aren't fully filled i would say they have about 5.5-6 gallons of soil in each pot.

The Nutes i'm using are Pure Blend Pro Grow, Pure Blend Pro Bloom, CalMag, and a little molasses during flowering. I also used a little superthrive in veg.

Each Plant is watered when the pot feels light, ph up and ph down are added before watering to adjust PH to 6.6-6.8. Plants are watered until some seepage comes out of the drainage holes.

Here is some info about each Plant also:

Hashberry Phenotype- Very Indica Dominant, thick dark almost kushy looking leaves. Very compact and dense, already has some small buds only 4 days into flowering. Seems to like alot of nutes.

Blockhead Phenotype #1- Looks to be about 50/50 indica/sativa. Fairly tall stature, not lanky though. Medium green leaves, not nearly as dark as the hashberry. Has already had some triches since veg, already smells pungent.

Blockhead Phenotype #2- Looks to be possibly a LITTLE more sativa than the other blockhead, so i'd say it's slightly leaning on the sativa side. Same color leaves as the other blockhead, but suprisingly a little more compact in stature. This is my favorite plant as far as structure, it's not too tall or too short and is shaped like a perfect bush. All colas are at an even height. I'm guessing it will yield the most, but only time will tell.

Here are some pics of the plants as well:

Those are pics of the blockhead pheno #2 and the hashberry pheno. I haven't taken a pic of the 1st blockhead pheno recently, but will get some up soon. I will post updated pics every 4-7 days.

As I've grown out over a dozen good strains dropping them eventually, blockhead has been the one I've kept around for close to 4 years now.It was half the price of most high end strains I tried too, very strong pot.I'd take cuts from both pheno's and keep them around in veg until you've compared the flowered clones, but the slender leafed short statured one is the one I chose. It's the epitome of "lung expanding pinebud"

Yea, i've heard nothing but good things about it. I snagged a pack before they stopped making alot of them. I am looking forward to the blockhead being the best, from the reviews and pics i've seen i'm sure it will be. I got a 10 pack for like $50 too, i spent $90 on sensi star and ended up getting no females. I got 2 blockhead females out of 5 blockhead plants. I was going to clone, but ran into a dilema. I have to be out of this house in about 58 days from now, so i had to put them into flowering. I don't have time for cloning, and will have to close up shop as soon as these are done for a little bit. So i just transplanted all 3 mothers i have at the moment and threw them into flowering about 4 days ago.

The phenos i posted picks of are nice, but the other pheno (BH #1) looks like it will be the most potent by far. BH#2 and the hashberry pheno have some slight crystals already, but the blockhead #1 is already crystally, some of the pistils are already almost white from triches. I've never seen that much trichome production until about 2+ weeks into flowering.

Oh yea, and i forgot to include temps and humidity numbers in the growroom. The temp is kept a consistant 78-82 degrees during the day, and about 72-76 degrees at night. Humidity is around 32-36% during the day, and 25-30% at night.

You will love the block, everyone on the block loves the block! My pheno was pretty easy to pick,I kept copies in veg of all females but at 30 days I already had a frosty winner. If you have a way to control humidity,I've found 60% RH to be best during the beginning of the stretch. Its just a continuing vegging plant at that stage just under a 12/12 photoperiod. At around 3 weeks I'll drop it down to 50% RH and when buds are formed well at 40 days or so I drop down to 40%.Too low a humidity slows growth especially during the stretch period(first 3 weeks)

the american- thanks alot for the advice. Yea, i wish i could of cloned the frosty mom i have. Although i still have 3 seeds left, which isn't shit but hopefully will get me a nice female. I actually planted 12 plants total a few months ago (4 blockhead, 4 Sensi Star, 1 hashberry, 3 sour diesel x jack herer AKA sour jack) But only two blockheads and the 1 hashberry ended up being female, just my luck of course lol. Got any pics of your blockhead by any chance? I'd love to see em.

Reaperz- Thanks alot, i'm hoping 55-60 days from now i will harvest. But the blockheads do look fairly sativa influenced, so probably another 60-65 days.

I never took pics for six years of growing, things have changed I have to take care of mom so yes I took pics of my final harvest,I have to take her to the store here shortly but the fact is,I'm a real computer loser.I mean seriously.I can turn my camera on and view the pics, what to do from there stumps me.The directions don't help.I really want to show how you can pull 3 oz plants out of a 1.6 gal container(2 gal nursey). This was my stash harvest so I didnt flower monsters in 3 gal like I normally do.I'll need help when I want to do this, really lol..Another thing,I dont use any kind of proxy and am not interested in figuring that out lol,is it cool?Children of the 70s make terrible computer operators unless they have teenage kids to teach them lol

Yea lol. I actually build computers occasionally, and do little fixing jobs on friends computers here and there so i know most of what there is to know. But, i do know what you mean. Theres so many things to do, so many things to choose from it's hard to learn how to do something on a computer easily. For example, to upload pics you have to connect the camera to your computer, upload them onto your computer, then edit and resize them, then host them on an image hosting website, and then post them here. It's a pain in the ass lol.

O man you make that sound like a lot, thats why I'm not taking it on now. This evening I should have a few hours. They are downloaded on my computer,my camera is plugged in and when I turn it on,I have about 30 pics.By the way,any way to delete those in case my hardrive gets a bug and has to be taken in?Thats been buggin me.I've been freakishly paranoid about the pics,I admit it.I took ribbin from people on OG too lol.But I didnt have to shut down out of fear when OG went down either..A lot of big dummies did,and probably for no reason!

Yep, you should be able to just delete all the pictures if you ever need to by right clicking and hitting delete. Then you can go into the recycle bin and wipe all of them completely off the computer. A safer way would be to completely wipe out the harddrive if you ever need to bring it in. That way you know everything has been deleted. I have like 500 grow pics on my computer, i just keep them in a secure folder (i use a program to lock the folder). and if worse came to worst i know how to completely wipe out the hard drive within a few minutes. If you ever need to do it, i can walk you through it.

Some Updated Pics, The first pic is showing the trichomes that are on the blockhead #1 pheno, as you can see she already has trichomes on the leaves, and the pistils are already white from trichomes, i've never seen bud this resinous at only 7-8 days into flowering. The other pics are of various phenos, and theres one group shot.

Looking fantastic. Too bad about the timing with your house.

How was your germination rate with that 10 pack of Blockhead?

I have a 15 pack that I will start to soak in a week. I'm going to plant all 15 and 10 Purple Kush X Hash Plant with them. I keep seeing these Blockhead threads and they are making the wait painful!

Who is spice of life selling their blockhead through these days?I got mine a long time ago from Heavens Stairway and the last time I looked at seedboutique and doc chronic I couldn't find it.

Thanks for the comments. I got my pack of BH from growshopalien, i'm not sure if they still have any left though, because i bought the pack over 6 months ago.

As far as germination rate, i only germinated 7 seeds of blockhead but all 7 popped within about 32 hours.

Thanks, yea the hashberry is a very nice strain from what i've seen. It's also one of the most indica dominant strains i've seen, if it's a true landrace then it must be 100% indica i believe. I can tell she is going to have the fattest colas out of all my plants, she already has some golfball sized buds starting, and she's only on day 8 or 9 today.

Hashberry is also the easiest strain i've worked with so far, i had problems with all of the other plants at the beginning of the grow. The blockheads were being effected by temps very easily, and are alot more finnicky when it comes to nutes. I haven't had one problem with the hashberry so far.

I use to use a 400w hps, and the difference when using a 1000w is amazing. I never use to see this kind of bud growth until 3-4 weeks into flowering.

Here's some updated pics, i figured id take some of the really frosty blockhea.d She's on day 10 or 11 i of flower, and as you can see the leaves and pistils are covered in triches. First two pics are the blockhead third one is the hashberry:

1337- thanks. Yea, i can already tell that these blockheads are going to be amazing. I picked her out of every other seed strain i could of chose.

My main computer is down, so i haven't been on as much. But, i figured i'd give a quick update. No more updated pics at the moment, hopefully i will put some more up tonight or tomorrow. The crystally blockhead pheno is still getting frostier by the day, she's already white with frost and not even 3 weeks into flowering (they are all on day 17 of flowering today). Her structure isn't my favorite though, she has 3 main tops but all of them are uneven. One top is growing tall, one is growing short, and one is medium in stature. She also has the biggest buds at the moment, not the densest though. Looks to be most likely the blueberry pheno, but possibly the SPG pheno. Too early to tell for sure, but she looks very slightly indica leaning, or possibly 50/50 in makeup.

the hashberry looks very nice as well, almost as much trichome production as the blockhead, shortest in stature. Has 3 fairly even tops, has the densest buds so far. Thick white pistils that are bunched closely together. Very heaviy indica, leaves look very similar to some of the kushes i've seen. Very dark leaves as well, seems to handle nutes well.

And, the not as crystally blockhead lol is doing good as well. My favorite structure out of all the plants, has 6 very even tops and is very sturdy, not to tall in stature either, even though she looks to be the most sativa influenced, i'd say 60-70% sativa. Buds aren't as crystally or as big as the other 2 plants, but she has long buds starting to form, and small pointy buds at the top, fairly good trichome production too. Looks like it may be the p19 pheno. The SPG and Blueberry phenos are too indica dominated, so i don't think it's either of them.

Alright, a quick update. I took some new pics of the frosty blockhead, not any of the other two at the moment, but i will get some of them tomorrow. All of the plants are on day 27 of flowering as of today.

The hashberry had a calcium deficiency for a few days, but i fixed that with some cal mag, and she is doing fine and recovering fast. Infact, the buds look completely fine, some of the leaves just have some small rusty spots, the plant is still growing dense thick buds and it's already pretty frosty. Since she is very dense, i cut a few of the fan leaves that were blocking light, and she seems to have responded well. I only cut off maybe 3-4 leaves, just a few that were blocking important light.

The frosty blockhead pheno is doing awesome, very thick fat buds that are loaded with crystals and she is less than half way through flowering. As you can tell from the pictures, she is a beauty. I clipped a few fan leaves on her for more light penetration as well.

The 2nd blockhead pheno is doing good, but a little slower in bud development than the other two. I believe this is because she is primarily sativa dominant, there are small pointy buds forming with average crystallization. She does have a great structure though, 6 main colas that are all even, i just hope she packs on weight and gets frostier, only time will tell.

I picked up some flora nova bloom and canna pk 13/14 today and will be using them for the rest of the flowering period. I am going to use the flora nova bloom as my main bloom nutrient, and i will use the canna pk 13/14 in a small dose for 1 or 2 waterings. I'm hoping this boosts them a little, so they pack on weight.

Temps have been very good, as well as the humidity. It's been an average of about 75-80 during the light on period, and 70-75 on the light off period. humidity is usually around 30-40% during the light on period, and 28-35% when the light is off. The light has been staying cool, so i have it about 10-12 inches away now, hoping to get better penetration.

Well, here are the blockhead pics in the meantime. Feel free to leave comments:
