1 week old seedlings turning yellow

i have about 5 seedlings and one of them has me a little concerned, ya see the tips of the leafs are turning yellow just the tips and no the whole leaf. all the information ive been able to gather points to lack of nutes. i believe this not to be the case with my plants because of their age. the plants are in seedling soil with some perlite and nothing what-so-ever, they get 1oz of distilled water every 2 days. can anyone offer insite?

It's probably a slight over watering "every 2 days" is too much. A pic would be good. I think your potting soil would have enough food for the little one at this time.

What are they in cups pots? You really only need to mist once a day & water every 3-4 days IF it's needed.

UPDATE ok so the leafs are still yellow around the tips and two of the plants look almost like their closing like a venus fly trap. not to mention their commin up on week 2 and their still incredably small. i snap some pictures with my phone see what kind of information can be derived from them. but anyone have any thoughts in the meantime?

I'd look out of the pot for this. Temperatures in your grow, lighting too close or far & or not sufficient, ventilation etc.

i have 3 computer fans for air movement, 2 92 mm intake and 1 120 mm for exhaust. i also have a larger 12in oscillating fan but I’ve been too worried about killing the plants to do anything. would setting the 12 in fan up be a good idea or not? Im using 5 42watt CFLs as my light source bacause i was under the impression they dont get as hot as HPS or MH, but i dont have a thermometer to measure the temps so in not exactly sure.

Like strain_searcher added "Those seedlings are reaching" they look exceptionally happy & want to grow. I've never seen them fly trap to that degree. Get the lights as close as you can without it too hot. Seedlings can grow an inch or two at that size so compensate place your hand at that height, hold it for a good while & see if it gets hot. Place them where it's not burning them or your hand. They've been in the Infirmary. Do you have some white around them are you in a small grow area? My seedlings touch my 4' floros they love them. Just check for heat, humidity & that type thing.

i have the seedlings about 1 inch away from the lights dont want them to touch because when i grab the light it hurts my hand where their sitting now the temp seems conftrable for me. the grow area is painted all flat white . i do have the lights alternating between laying on the side and angled at 45 degrees my thinking was to get light comming from multipli angles could this be causing some of my problems indirect light?
what about misting, i live in a very dry state how often should i be misting them?

yet again dude, sirgrass, you missed some more details man.......
Don't post if you know nothing about the problem that is arising.

You never water seedlings with distilled nor RO water, you want to water them with tap as the micros help with the growing of the plant, the reason why those cotyldons are yellowing more now is because they have used up most of the stored food and they have barely yet to grow, this is because no micros have been given to them in the water.

What soil mixture are you using?

Mynamestich - im using basicly steril soil with perlite. no nutes what so ever while the plants still a seedling.

now i have some more questions, first i thought i was overwatering them so i havent watered them in about 2 days, when should water them and for how long before i change up the cycle? im still tying do develop a feel for how the "pot" wieghs and how the soil feels when its wet vs dry so a schedudal would really help.
when should i start feeding, im doing a 12/12 from seed should i start with higher N first or should i use a Bloom formula. sorry for the noob questions but ya gotta learn somehow

You should not have to water every 2 days, that will be considered overwatering for your plants, you want to add water only where the seedling is and not anywhere else, keeping the other soil wet where no roots are will cause the soil around the roots to stay too wet.
you should not have to feedthem, but since they are starved, I would start using tap water your next watering and around 1/4 teaspoon of some organic nutrient.
WHat brand of soil are you using?
WHat is the pH of the run off?
Looks to me it was due to a mixture of overwatering and lack of nutrients from using distilled water.

Why did you not use tap?

soil is gordons
Ph run off i havnent tested yet cuz i dont know how time to research.
as for i did use distilled water was because in the course of my information-gathering while i was researching i read a post talking about care for the delicate seedling and the author said that he used one oz of distilled water every 2 days while the plant was about week to a week and a half old. then he switched to 48hr DeCL tap water.
i dont know if i have a green thumb or not but i've tried to isolate many variables i thought would cause problems while i undertook this endevor. silly me, anything that can go wrong will go wrong, thankfully i've learned to learn from my mistikes,

UPDATE: i fed the plants a 1/4tsp per gallon of organic feed and my plants seemed to perk up for a couple days and now their looking sad again, still with yellow tips but they did grow a little but not much. i've tested the tap water im using and it came back with a Ph of 7 and so did the soil run off, the method i used was litimus paper so there is a limit to the degree of accuracy.
i transplanted two of the plants into a lagerer container thinking that will help but i have to wait and see. one of the plants i transplanted liiks like its probably not taking the transplant well, the stem is curling and the leaves are curling upwards once again(#3). in the course of reading many many threads i have come across a possiability, my water is hard but i dont know what to test for besidses Ph. i need a quick fix because im worried that im going to loose the plant with the twisty growth and leaves, so i again ask for help.
