Great thread SF

www.economytravel.com

Cheapest airfare I found and I spent 6 days surfin' before I came across it.

The price they show you is the price you pay, taxes already included.

$853 from JFK for CC week in november. Seems like I paid around 750-790 last year, somewhere in there.

Channels is a pretty good resource. They've got all the local hotels on there. Avoid the big travel sites and just talk directly to a cheap little hotel. Paid 40e a night and got a free breakfast. Had a nice private place all to my lonesome.

thanks spacedcwby and queso for those links.....I wish I read more info and watched more videos about amsterdam before my first trip there....would have avoided lots of bad coffeeshops...and spent more time in the better ones...plus would have tried better strains and hash of course

many people on here who have never been to the Dutch Coffeeshops ask which *coffeeshops* are the best to hit....while in Holland

well.....my recommendations and of many....many.....other people's are:

(1a) willie wortels *INDICA* (awesome location, small, cozy, awesome-friendly staff)
(1b) willie wortels *SENSIMILIA* (large interior, large assortment, large terace, unique experience for sure)
(1c) willie wortels *SATIVA* (closed till middle of aug) (when opens....closest to train station...first stop before strting the haarlem coffeeshop crawl)

(2a) dampkring (owned by dampkring..lol)
(2b) de tweed kamer (owned by damprkring)
(3c) pink floyd (also owned by dampkring)

(3) grey area (owned by american dude's 1 riding on bike in the dam)

(4) amnesia (owned by barney's now...lol)

(5) barneys (owned by crook derry...at least tha's what many call him....lol)

......and of course many many more....these are listed in order of my favorite from the first .....imo...... being the best and so on.....lmao

***by the way I only like barney's because you can go there in the early in the morning while most of the other coffeeshops are closed....otherwise I try to chill at the 1-4 coffeeshops...that makes seven different coffeeshops where I spend *most of my time*

would be excellent if people wrote which they really liked and if they remember what they bought and smoked there...pictures if you have would be cool too....anyway here's a few to of mine

please people, do yourselves a favor and take this advice: wear comfortable shoes. you'll do more walking than you can imagine and if your feet hurt, your experience will not be as great as it could be. nobody will be looking at your shoes so don't worry about fashion---just comfort. een though public transportation is fantastic in the DAM, you'll end up walking more than you possibly ever have before. i know this because i ended up with horrible blisters on my heals after just a couple days (wore new shoes), and could only wobble around like an old man for the remainder of my trip.

i stayed at the Hotel EUREKA and they had a dynamite free breakfast---and an elevator. i would recommend that place. very friendly. :rasta:
