There is no point whatsoever for this thread. I just like pictures of monster buds.

Strain HDF, Canna Coco AB, PK13/14 for 10 days starting at the third week and GH Koolbloom dry for the last 2 weeks. 5 days flush. That's it!

shes looks wonderful, dry shots?? Hows the smoke??? I know it's sick huh I did a flush in five days with my last run and wow the buds were flushed and dank!!!!

Beautifully shaped buds. I loooooove coco. I bought 2 dozen bales of Botanicare coco cause I knew it would be all I ever needed as far as a growing medium goes. It's the god-given, renewable, eco-friendly, organic, quick growing, tastiest-buds-ever medium that rocks all other mediums.

woot. VIVA LA COCO!!!!

HDF = Heavy Duty Fruity

High = Floaty, dreamy, medium strong

Taste = Nothing special, depends how you grow it.

Smell = Fruity

Thanks...took a tour of your gallery....good stuff in there...I wanted to study your run to waste setup...you went all out with those uniseals...I remember your run to waste setup from OG years ago anyways...think I was able to steal a couple ideas from your setup...andddd....it looks like you got your setup dialed in...not to take anything away from Canna Coco and A & B, of course

Sweeeeeeeet!

Sweeeeeeeet!

surfingrob Bravo! I have just moved to coco, and your enthusiasm is just what I was hoping to see. Well, aside from 3 hot naked women bringing me the best bud on earth-oh, wait, sorry, I got carried away on that whole ,"hoping to see" tangent in my head. Sorry.

Ok.

Taste, yield, bag appeal/snob appreciation were the three main factors I was hoping to achieve in coco-and from what you are saying, I made the right choice.
I have three beans (2 Fem Lemon Skunk, 1 Pot O Gold) in coco and coco can mix in beer cups, and I am waiting to grab whichever bubblicious clones look the best into the soiree..
I am using PBP, with CM, LK, and Sweet. I am diluting the solution to about 2/3rd strength until the plants tell me they need more..

SR-know of any strains that are likely to change colors while growing indoors?

Can anyone throw some names out there? Thanks a lot!

Mr. B out.

I would reccommend Humboldt's Purple Maxx product if you like that purple bag appeal. It will actually turn a plant purple and encourage the production of terpenes which will give it that purple smell. It's a Plant Growth Hormone which means that if the plant is capable of turning purple it will turn. Some plants you wont get any results at all. I run Purple Maxx on my Green Crack's (aka Pincher Creek) and they really like to purple up, and even start tasting different.

hey BlindDate,

5 days flush sounds nice!
what size containers do you use and how often do they get watered?
I want to switch my recirc krusty grow to coco drain to waste for the summer.
do you use straight coco or mix with hydroton?

I assume you're doing "tree" grows with vertically hung lights.

How many plants and how many lights? Also, if you don't mind, how long did you veg it?

Awesome plant.

I would caution one thing re: Humboldt County's Own products--they don't always wash out of CoCo.

They are dope products though.

I use a 5 gallon bucket stacked inside another 5 gallon where the drain line is fitted.

Water twice a day. Straight COCO.

4 plants in a diamond pattern, 4 600s (corners) & 1 1000 in the middle = 3400 watts

I take clones before the 12/12 flip and root/pre-veg for 8 weeks in a small 3x3 area with a single 400 MH. The plants are only about 2 ft high as I keep the nute level very, very low so that they grow slooowwwwllllyyy. Then, when the flower batch is finished they veg for 4 weeks.

It will yield about 5-6 lbs for 3 months growing. Not the same as a SOG, but almost zero work, no mother plants, only 4 clones, no reservoir maintenance, etc.

4 plants in 5g buckets under 3600w putting out 5-6 elbows means those are humongous trees! How tall do those plants get when they're done stretching?
Grows like this are why I decided to veg the plants good and plenty before blooming them. :respect:

They end up about 7 ft tall in the buckets. It's taking advantage of vertical space. Notice that in my picture I'm reaching up to the bud.

So you're using the classic krusty 10x10 room? Also are you doing Co2 w/ an AC unit?

Are you using gavata bulbs or a batwing behind the 600's?

Sorry for the questions, but I find it very interesting.

SR -Thanks! Even if the PM doesn't work in coco, at least I can be optimistic about another similar product on the market..or not :nono:

Thanks!

Im including some pics of my GHS Fem Lemon Skunk that were in coco/croutons and initially PBP now I am on Bio Bizz nutes.

Hey Blind Date I really Admire the way you grow man. Your method is simple, high yielding and you use low plant numbers which is safer and lower maintinence. Very nice crowns too, gonna be easy to manicure.

Im also growing HDF in coco ( no pics as none of my specimens have been photo worthy cause of rain etc). The most i have harvested off one is 6 ounces cause of newb + environmental factors. I still have one pheno going and lost the other which yielded smaller but tighter, fruiter buds.. The pheno I have is quick to flower like 7-8 weeks and puts on weight realy fast, big buds. The buds are kinda light weight when dried but this is probably due to them not getting much light in flower cause of to many trees etc(i veg indoors/flower out). The next ones will be vegged for 4 months then put into a full sun spot to flower in 75 liter pots. Should see some yield this time.

Got a couple of Q's

Did you buy a full pack of HDF?

If so was there much pheno variation?

How does this strain compare to others you have grown for yield?

sorry for all the q's but you've mastered this strain man well done!

Wow, sorry for the delayed response, I haven't checked this thread in a long time. PM me next time.
My room is unfortunately not an ideal 10 x 10. It is 8 x 12. No batwing on the corner 600s only mylar. When growing tree style using vertical bare bulbs think along the lines that you are growing plants inside a reflector rather than under one. If the walls and ceiling is 98% reflective (mylar) then the light stays inside the room regardless of where it comes from. Gauge your light by watts per cubic foot rather than square foot, that's my theory anyway.
No CO2, but I do have a big AC unit. I exhaust through a carbon filter 24/7 at a low rate. Just enough to remove some humidity and replace the CO2 depleted air. Exhausting air at a low rate with AC running does not seem to effect the the AC. After learning this I quickly called my mother and chewed her out for yelling at me to shut the door all those years.

I cannot answer your question because this plant was given to me as a clone. I can say that it is the highest yielding strain I have ever grown.
