So, here is the set up for now...36 bucket ebb and flow with most of the plants having excellent Kush genes. You can read a bit of history in my intro thread... http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=56650
I started about half of these from seed and have decided to start the diary from this point, I will be cutting back the light today(Earth Day) hence the name of the thread. I started with about 35 seeds that germinated and ended up with just about half females, I did keep two of the best males for breeding purposes(T.Rex and Double Dlux). All of the seeds are of my own creation and breeding and all have a common kush male as the donor. The females were trainwreck, my original DD, J5 and an incredible kush from the same seeds as the male. The plants growing now are a few generations down the line of cross breeding. The other plants are from clones and include a kush, trainwreck and purple urkle.

You can see in this overview pic that the last light looks a bit brighter, it is a digital and seems well worth the money.

The only reason I did`nt do this in "pm" is cause I think the new members at large needta know bout light dissipation...........The biggest prob with gettin your yields is about securing 4 close walls wrapped with "reflectix" or other reflective material available to you for light "saturation" with maximum lumen absorbency to make your grow efficient........My close friend in the UK uses closet sized rooms "efficiently" with ebb and flow buckets and gets 5 lbs. in 40 sq.ft. outta 3-600 HPS`s with 35 ebb and flow buckets and major air exchange with no a/c ..............I only respond due to seein the clones in the same room as the plants as well as seein shadows from hell..........Yall needta read and research bout previous grows and light "SATURATION for that 50+ watts per sq. ft. yield thingy........Peace......DHF.......

Week one update...
Like I always say, no matter how much experience you have, there will always be some sort of drama, besides with so many ladies in one room, you have to expect it (LOL). Two things...I managed to cook one of my ballasts, lucky for me it was only the 240v tap and I am still able to use it in my veg room as 110v...I forgot that that one was still wired for 110v when I turned 'em on...dooh!
The other one is that one of my star "ladies" turned out to be a guy in drag...one of the T-rex (kush.trainwreck X kush.DD) It was one of the first ones that I sexed about a month ago and got fooled...I did clone it but I always tag 'em, so all is good. It was very thick and bushy for a male, I am keeping the clone for breeding....oh well.
I kept the nute mix at only 25% bloom for the first week and kept my MH's in there for a few days extra too in order to do a slower transition to full bloom. They are just starting to show a slow down in growth and should be extra thick in the next few weeks. I just changed the res to a full 100% bloom and expect to see a nice change in the next week.
I am still in construction mode and will be adding another 3 lights(have one up already)and another system in the next few weeks...all my new clones need a home soon.

Week two, like I always say...
The hottest, driest day of the year so far and my hose popping off of the fill pump sometime in the past two days equals bone dry rockwool cubes and very dehydrated plants. I figured something was up when I noticed that they just did not look as happy as usual and that alot of the lower fan leaves were yellowing.

My room temp was 90.1 and humidity was down to 25%!!!
I cut off some of the lights and after a while it was back down to 83 and humidity jumped up to 35%. I am in the process of air cooling all the lights but have to cut all the 6" holes by hand.
After such a long battle with pythium, I am so glad to finally see some real roots!!!

I have nine different strains going right now and some of the kush X trainwreck are looking very promising. I was going to take a few pics but would rather wait till they are back to 100%. I am sure that another day with out water and I would have lost a few...not the first time on that one.

awsome grow. Would love some of your bucket info. Watering schedule, how high your rockwool is in the bucket?

I was actually going to start a multi-flow thread to get a census of how everyone using this same system does it...nutes, feeding, etc...

Right now I am in 12/12 and am doing 4 feedings at 1 click(15min) this seems to just fill all the buckets before it drains again. I always put the cubes just about an inch into the water line, anymore and you are just wasting space or I should say limiting your growth area. Sometimes in the 2nd or 3rd week, I pull the plant out of the bucket and add another inch or two of rocks to let the roots spred some more...this always seems to make them very happy! I only do this to the ones that are very big and in turn are most likely just about rootbound already.

i m gonna get myself a multi flow and i was a little surprised you to read about your watering.
just for times per 12h cycle .
doesn t it seem too little ?
i mean i do not know since i ve never been growing with these system but 4 times ???
what is your average room temp?

by the way dlux i can see that your pic looks good so any adviced would be welcome .
i m gonna use advance nutes , ak47 and bubblegum in a 36 pods multi-flow .

4 is plenty. Some people do 2. none at night. a lot depends on your breed

Almost week four update...day 25 to be exact. I DIY'ed my lights to all aircooled 6" and everything worked out fine, all the custom glass I ordered fit perfectly...that could of been a nightmare. After a few tries with different tools, I finally just used a jigsaw...don't know why I did not think of that at first...duh! My exhuast is a 1400cfm attic fan and even with that much air moving I need to bump it up at the end, my room still runs a bit warm. I am adding air scrubber and with the added cfm's my temp should be better.

SEAOFVERT...my first water right when the lights come on is for two clicks, the other 3 for the rest of the session is just one. I timed it out and with the amount of buckets I have, 1 click just fills 'em up in time...barely. My experience is that it is better to water more often when in veg or when the roots are still small, when the roots start to run out of space, they need less moisture.
I used to have bubblegum back in the day, awesome strain...huge! good to make crosses with. I got over 6 oz off of 1 bblgum in a bucket!
My room temp is in the mid 80's which is high but there is good airflow and I have c02 running...after i finish my light situation it should drop.

I am having trouble in my veg room, root problems again!! I am hoping that it is not full blown pythium AGAIN!! I have spent alot of time hand watering with h2o2 and hygrozyme...thrown out quite a few and nursed alot back to apparent health...will have to see about that one.

Physan 20 will kill everything but your plants guaranteed. $9 a bottle. 1ml per 10 gallons. Use for 8 hours in system and then flush. Innoculate with beneficials or go sterile.
