Feeding schedule...

I've decided this grow round I'm going to use this feeding regimen, let me know what you guys think, if this is too much, or has some noticable weak spots, or is missing something:

I will be using soil drenches on Sundays & Wednesdays & foliar feeds on Fridays just before lights out.

Sunday's are that once-a-week treat with Real Growers ReCharge and one Sunday/month some Mammoth P by Mammoth Microbes.

Wednesdays are a rotation of Lactobacillus Serum, Leachate/Bokashi Runoff, Sprouted Seed Tea & Aerated Compost Tea.

Fridays are a rotation of Photosynthesis+, Kelp/Sea Green/Epsom Salt, Neem/Karanja Oil, Ed Rosenthal's Zero Tolerance, Mammoth Microbes BioControl & Buildasoil's IPM Essential Oil Blend weekly until the 2nd-4th week of flower.

All applications would use AgSil16H as an emulsifier & most would include things like Aloe Vera Gel & Coconut Water.

The final flush would start with RO water & some immobile trace elements, transitioning to RO water & ThermX-70 (excessive wetting agent application acts as a flash flush of built-up nutrients).

Side-note: I've been pre-composting everything in DIY Bokashi Buckets, then feeding then feeding the fermented waste to the worm bins.

So what do you guys think?

Essential oils?
Nix anything from BAS. They follow fads.

Sounds alright if not a bit redundant.
A bit expensive.
I would simplify it.
Just cause I’m cheap.

I agree with I'mback.

Way too complicated. But if you have a lot of time on your hands and like sticking to schedules, maybe this is perfect for you.

I usually add everything to the pot when I transplant for flowering, sometimes give them a little top dusting if they look a bit hungry halfway through. And just straight water from start to finish.

Emulsifier

Emulsifier

An emulsifier is a substance with a molecular structure which allows the bonding of two or more substances which will not mix/bond. A substance which facilitates suspension, which separates over time and must be re-shaken is NOT an emulsifier. An emulsifier bonds dissimilar substances in a stable format.

e.g. egg for vinegar and oil in mayonnaise etc.
Is potassium silicate actually an emulsifier?

I'mback

Comfortably numb!

IMHO the more complicated you make things, the easier it is to screw something up and, then what element screwed things up?

No need to flush. Also, I foiler feed as the lights come on. This is when the stomata open up. They close at lights out, and at that point you're just wetting your plants.

Totally agree with everyone about the KISS.

Really, I thought that was a big no-no? I've legit burnt tf out of plants in the past doing that...I swear every foliar tutorial I've ever read says that.

I've seen the recipes for using agsil as an emulsifier. The person who I would trust to know is the owner of custom hydro nutrients. I thought his user name here is agent but it looks like I'm wrong.

Can you show me where the manufacturer PQ Corporation recommends it as an emulsifier? I'm truly interested in this.

Isn't agsil what Coot used to "emulsify" his neem sprays?

I also always used foliars just before lights on or outside in the early morning.

Foliar Feeding: The Dos. The best time to use a foliar spray is at lights out. When a plant enters a dark period, its leaves take around 15 minutes to relax. It's during this time—right after the lights turn off and before the leaves relax—that the stem and leaves are in their most effective absorption period...

So who's wrong MM? Is Maximum Yield completely full of shit or nah?

Honestly it was probably a retailer or wholesaler's literature not PQ Corp's that I read about AgSil16H aiding in emulsion, I'm having a hard time tracking down what I originally read...but it was definitely Cootz that sent me down that rabbithole, and I've very much enjoyed the sturdier plant structure as a bonus result of the Silica supplementation.

maximum yield is F.O.S.

Don’t Use an Overly Concentrated Foliar Spray
When using a foliar spray, make sure you read the instructions twice and stick to the dilution rates on the label. In fact, I’d even recommend over-diluting the foliar spray just to make sure that you don’t use a mix that could be too strong for your plant (after all, all plants are different).
From someone that knows-

normally people are wrong when they use more dilute solutions for foliar than thay do for root drenches.

Philo; its a good read, worth your time to go thru it

Adjunct would be a better term than emulsifier IMHO
BAS is the only one making the emulsifier claim
OR they(BAS) are used as a reference

In all fairness, even when Jeremy Silva references it for an emulsifier he is quoting Clackamas Cootz.

And I've always made my foliars at least twice as strong as my drenches...but the thing is, Max Yield is far from the only place claiming you should foliar feed at lights out...so what is actually true?
