I have worked on this strain for the past few years and its easliy the most rerequested strain I run thru the room. Its a cross of Brothers Grimms C99 to some old Federations Mikado I have kept going. [ if someone else has already done this cross to you'll have to pardon the name.]
While its hard to generally improve on C99 I was experimenting with making it a more potent medicinal quality smoke. The Mikado I have I find is beyond that and for most purposes is kinda on the too strong side. The cross however is a beautiful mix of the two resulting in some easy to grow top notch smoke that smells great, yields comparable to C99, and is highly uniform.
The plant starts developing a light smell around dime size puff buds around 21 days into flower. Scents vary from the piney Mikado side to the fruity smells of the C99. As the plants develope those scents start to range and vary a bit like being around bulk candy bins. The scents seem to be oddly familiar like something from childhood you just quite cant pinpoint.
Theres more to say but lets get on to the pics. Heres a slew of Grail babies getting a nice start looking as uniform as can be.
