Bagseed x NYCD X Sensi Star

Just thought I'd post about my chuck.

Bagseed from a found lot in an LP in storage from 1979.

Unremarkable from today's standards, but it's from a bag
of pot I smoked while I was in high school.

My second buy from Seed Boutique included some
Southern Star from Delta 9 labs, NYCD X Sensi Star.

Only one popped, and it was a male plant. Sigh.

So I made a cross of my vintage bagseed to the
NYCD X Sensi Star. I have enjoyed the fruits of that
F1 and have shared seeds with other chaps who do
larger grows.

These two plants that will be showcased in this thread
are a couple of the mums I used to make the F2. The F2
lot will be documented at a later date.

They have been in 11/13 for 4 weeks in a mico environment
under 110w PL L. Coco Hempy style, 6/9.

Pics when I get around to it.

Here is one of the two F1 ladies I used to make F2's.

I no longer need them so into flower they went, no cuttings taken.
I have the original two parents that made the F1, and about fifty seeds.

Here's a close up:

The two plants are doing well, in a couple days will drop micro.
Cooler temps than usual, will flower these a little longer than I
had planned.

They starting to throw terpenes. Full on cherries. The sweetest
I have come across, its why I make the cross. I have some F2
seedlings to put in flower after I start some Zamaldelicas.

Pics soon.

Was the bagseed a male or female?
What's the lineage of the two females?
Girls are looking nice and healthy, they're gonna be bushy girls!

Hey blynx.

The bagseed is the lady plant, lineage unknown, circa
1979 in the major metropolitan N.Y. area.

I have only anecdotal info on her, no proper testing for
terpene profile or THC% yet.

The two plants mentioned in this thread are two of the three
lady F1's I crossed with a boy F1 of the original cross,
bagseed x (nycd x sensi star) to produce the F2.

F2 is bagseed x (nycd x sensi star) crossed with bagseed x (nycd x sensi star).

I still keep the bagseed mom and nycd x sensi star dad,
for future use.

And yes, they are bushy. The leaves are small, bonsai style, buds are too! lol.

I'll get a few grams from these ladies, lol.

There are two plants in flower so far in this thread, here are two seedlings from one
of them crossed to the dad plant, F2's:

I will veg these and take cuttings to flower for my personal selection.

There are many F2 seeds to sprout and I will do two new ones as
soon as the previous selections are made.

There is some good stuff to find in these plants.

looking good, sounds like a nice cross buddy!!

Thanks, it's old school genetics, I like to take them
longer in flower and a long cure too. Chopped too early
and this shit scrambles your brain, lol.

I've read nycd has the hermi thing, so I stopped sharing
my F1 seeds with other growers.

Had no issues to date with hermis, but I wanted to
keep from having that reputation among the big guys.

I'm sure no one else holds this cross except me.

yea thats true about the hermies, although there are some crosses that do that and still are stellar, and the ones that made them are still pretty reputable "big guys", so if you tell the people that they might run into that type of situation it s not that big of a deal, but i understand were you coming from!

The guys I have shared seeds with are very understanding,
they knew going in that I was chucking and in no way would
hold my feet to the fire, I try to avoid the knuckleheads, lol.

I was assured that no keepers were found from my stock.
Mixed emotions about that...

I did pollinate a hermi F1 with the male F1, just to see if anything
unusual pops up.

I kept the seeds from each of the female F1 crosses labeled to
the respective F1 female to keep track. So I'll know what came
from whom.

I'll pop some of the hermi F2 around the winter holidays.

Getting there, I like the GH 6/9:

Never had this good growth and maturation using the MaxiBloom.

Maybe low light level favors the sliding scale/tailored regiment.

Still a couple weeks, if not more. Smelly, I like it.

It is a good smoke. I did the original cross some time ago
and have been enjoying it very much since then.

I also have shared seeds of the original cross with other
growers, but it was overshadowed by louder, more potent
strains.

The two F1's flowering here are almost 70 days 11/13. They
finish sooner under more watts.

The F2 is new, I have yet to have one in flower. I will continue to
post about them later after the F1's are done.

Pics of final harvest of the two plants will be posted, natch,
as well as weights and the smoke report.
