I THINK I have the first Full (leaf and bud) Black AF ever seen.
(Botanical black..ie deepest purple/red)

IF I have..

As I said in my mails m8, I have not seen one, nor have I ever seen any genus of flowering plant produce uniform coloration throughout all tissues, both reproductive and vegetative...you have a real rarity there...not just in canna, but the entire plant kingdom.

I have seen many colored phenos, but NOTHING like that, Mossy!

Beautiful!! Never seen any AF or Semi AF taken on a uniform Black/purple like that one.

I've been up and asked esbe if he has any autos in his blacks..so I am keeping my fingers crossed he hasn't...
BUT...IF he has..I couldn't be beaten by a better bloke..

if it was cold induced.
I THINK that I have hit a strong Kush genetic..and kush is reknown for colouring in the cold
BUT..if you look at the green canna around her..
they are from the black-line too..same conditions..no blacks..
Instinct say that that depth of colour cannot be cold induced only..
soooo..
we play chase it..

What you asked in mail..she is white tric'd ATM..
(JEM-grandmother) carries a self colour tric in the purple so there is a chance that I could get her out self coloured which would increse the black colour density..
But I think given the chance..
I'd prefer to keep her trics as it gives the bud much better definition.
What do you think..?
