My mom had a 1958 Metroplitan Austin Nash 2 door, red and white model. It was no doubt the nicest car on the road. This was in Johannesburg South Africa.

She was eventualy sold in 1990 when my mom emigrated. But the car needed alot of rennovation. And almost impossible to find parts.

These pictures I pulled off the net, they are no actually of the car that we had.

I do believe I have a pic of my car....only I'm sitting on top of the hood LOL...17 years old and oh so proud...hmmmmm....I'll see if I can find the pic and if its editable

The car in question is this:
my first car....1963 Pontiac LeMans convertible, bright red with white top, all original parts, mint condition inside and out, 2 shift gearshift on the steering column, 400 engine, and I could take that bitch apart and put it back together just like it was...now ain't I the shiznit! I still have the original keys

and I also am vintage 1963, at the time the car was only three years away from being considered "historic", but I didn't hang onto her long enough to warrant the historical plates.

Sack, I learned how to take the engine apart and rebuild her from my boyfriend at the time, we were together 5 years and he was a hot rod maniac...learned by just watching him take apart and play with his '69 440 Barracuda. I wouldn't let him do any playing around with my own car, I wanted to keep it as original as possible, including the engine.

my first muscle car was a 1970 Ford Torino GT with a 351 Cleveland from these two brothers in North Carolina; The McClarran Brothers. With fat tires all around. Mustang red, with a shift kit, custom exhaust, and a holley 650cfm carb. Gas was 0.39/gallon than. Sold it when I got married. Needed the money

Now I own custom Harley-Davidson's. My first is mustang red and the second is black and silver. The first is a racer bike, and the second is an old panhead four-speed knock-off with a modern evo engine. I build them myself. I have pics of the car and the bikes, just no digicam handy. I did post pics of my bike during it's conbstruction phase. No current pics of bikes tho.

That doesn't surprise me. You're quite a spark plug yourself! :D Sounds like a cool ride for sure. I have 2 vintage muscle cars now. Can't say what they are
but I sure do love them. Maybe I'll drive one over to Italy. :D

Quite a spark plug, huh? Wonder whatever gave you that idea? :D

I'd love to meet your muscle cars! If you drive one over to Italy I'll check your oil for ya and change your spark plugs if you let me tighten your gearshift, now how's that for an offer? :spank: Lordy lordy time for me to stop here. Talkin' 'bout muscle cars always does this to me....:sasmokin:

That, dear Gypsy, is the ULTIMATE muscle machine, back in the mid '70's they were already a rare thing indeed, I believe I must've seen only 3 or 4 on the road in all my life, and each time it was a major treat! The only car with true and blue BALLS, and pardon my French, but there's no other way to put it.

My first car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger 340 Six Pak(three two barrel carbs), With a 4 speed manual w/stock Hurst "Gunhandle" shifter. Jacked so high in the back, I would have to hang the back end off the ground and fill the air shocks to 150psi just to keep the wheel wells from rubbing on the giant 50's that stuck out a couple of inches. Little wheels on the front like a funny car. White trash beautiful. This car had so much torque. After I blew it up for the third time, I sold the intake manifold and carbs for more than the rest of the car. here's a pic of the car, the same but this is one is not mine.
70 Dodge Challenger Six Pak

Similar lines to a 69 Z28 but with a longer hood.
I drive a Slightly modified 99 Civic SI these days. Yes I'm a flithy Sport Compact tuner as well. Maybe a pic of that soon.

Never owned a muscle car...

Currently im driving a Infiniti G20 2L Sraight 4 cyl. It has the SR-20 motor in it... i dont know much about cars, but theres alot of message-boards, online communities that rave about this engine.

I love her... small, quick, efficent, and quality made. What more can you ask for? Ohh yeah... leather seats and all the eminties of a luxury car. :D:D:D

The 6 cylinder model, the RB-26 (Straight 6cyl) is not sold in the U.S.... with a few modifications that baby can top 1,000 horsepower.

I have a few cars that you would not believe.
I have a '48 Chrysler Windsor coupe, '48 Chrysler New Yorker, '23 T-Bucket, '72 Dodge demon, and a '66 Galaxie 500XL convertible.

I would post some pics but some of them have been featured and writin up in national magazines so I must refrain for now.

My '23 T-Bucket has a 351W that we strocked to 396 cu.in. with old cast TFS street heat heads, a custom ground cam from Crower, tunnel ram with (2) 650cfm Barry Grant speed demons. Close to 525 hp and it only weighs 1000lbs full of gas. They won't let me run it at the strip because I do not have a cage and I have alread broken the 10 sec mark in it so I have to pass tech now which I can't. So fast that it is scary.....even to me, that says alot.

My '66 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible is right in the middle of a frame off resto/rat job. I am putting in a blown 460 that I am hoping for 800+ hp on pump gas. This is my cruiser for sure.

My '48 Chrysler coupe is getting a full pro-street tube chassis built and a blown 440 that we are shootin for 1000+ hp thank god for wheelie bars.

The '72 Demon is a trailer car with a .060 over 318 in it right now that will flat out get down the road.

I am building a '56 GMC pickup for a friend right now that has full air rides with monster Torque Thrust II wheels on it. It is a full frame off.

I figured out a year or so ago that I have owned over 60 cars so far. A few years ago I sold 17 in one day at the Barrett Jackson auction to thin the herd a little.

I build Street rods, Hot rods, rat rods, muscle cars, and fast as hell late model cars all day everyday.

We are going to build a coffin car like Grampa Munsters in the real near future. It will have a big block and full air ride suspension. Ought to be a real kick in the ass.

Wow you guys we are in the presence of "the man " here . Texas Kid is talkin about owning real hotrods.... you dont take a car to "Barret Jackson" auctions unless it has total documents on all phases of restoration and ownership... this is the big time . We are not talking backyard or even bodyshop restorations ... these cars are perfection :) Nice to know ya Tex :) my pleasure really :)

TK. Dayuum. Now that is some muscle. I love the 351W in the '23. Gotta be a smoker. Smokers get one. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em. I love the old school stye of muscle cars and not the new fiberglass smooth a$$ flowing things like on AR on the discovery channel.

I used to do the old chevy's with my bud's in Chitown in the day. 65 Nova's, 57 Chevy's; belair; and more.

My last build was a 67 camaro convertible with a 350/turbo 400 trans package and a custom driveshaft to get the job done. All body work done by me and all engine work done by the team.

Now it is just fast harley's. I love blowing the ricerockets aways while they are doing wheelies in front of me. Next thing they know all they see is the #1 decal on the back of my seat. Now they know what #1 means. smile.

Thanks gang, I am definately a car guy

Documentation, documentation, documentation, man Babba you know it. I think the least documented car we ran through had something like 1200 photographs, engineers statements and all had build sheets, production stats, promo photos, signed statements from all owners of the car since new, brochures(original) hell we would try to find people that worked on the line when the car was built, you name it. The most had almost 5000 pics if ya can believe and over 100 other pieces of documentation.

I have a 1918 Nash Quad truck as well with four wheel drive and four wheel steering. It has a big crank on the front to start her up. It'll cruise at all of 15mph down hill (it will hoever pull a howitzer(sp).

Barrett's is a trip, you'll see guys turn down 500K for cars and not even flinch. Desposable income is something to behold especially when you despose of alot of it on cars. My family still owns a few cars that can get way up there in the money but we'll probably be buried in them.

I'll be buried in my Galaxie more than likely unless I get something even more badass.hehe
