Growdate: Day 1...Seed

I started germing some of Growdoc's breed Bubbledust(org aka Brain Damage).
Growdoc's description:
She comes from 2 continents half American and half Dutch. Angel Dust(Dutch) and Bubble Gum(American).
The bubble gum comes out of the Matanuska Valley in Alaska, USA...
I am a heavy indica fan and I wanted to make a heavy indica, short phat and white and 60 days flowering...
I spanked one male against 7 females, picked the ones I liked and did it again, then repeated time an time again over a 2 year period until I found the genes I was looking for...
She is a must for sea of green, scrog has not been done yet and neither has hydro, although it has been tried in a organic hydro system(unfortunately that garden was ripped)...
She takes 60 days, as most strains do, although people like take plants earlier...
HIGH: nice wake and bake, uplifting clear soaring high no couch lock here guys/gals...
Grown organically she taste like American grape Koolaid (grape juice for you Europeans)...

Bubbledust - pic by Growdoc, edited by me.

 Not much to report yet. I'm only germing 3 seeds....I'm an optimist..My space is only going to allow 2 full plants comfortably in there, 3 full plants at the max...I'll be content with 1 female. I may have to move soon, and I want to save the other seeds for my new destination. I'll cut clones if I need to.
I'll keep this thread up each day if possible, until it's done.
Dunked in RO H20 6.5ph. Right now 3 seeds germ on damp paper towels, sprinkled with seed starter soil, pushed into tiny dirt volcanos, holding the seeds. Then covered with more damp paper towels. All in a sealable food container. I like the way the soil cradles the seed. I'll check for tails tomorrow.

Growdate: Day 2...Germed

What up sacko & Tic... ...thanks sacko...Sure tick You're on! :biglaugh:

Well I had soaked them in RO H20 & 1/2 drop of Superthrive per litre, for about 6 hrs till they dropped. Then put them in the paper towel/soil germ set-up. 12 hrs later tails started to crack. Pics below at 26 hrs. Wow...that was quick, all 3 germed. So I put them in peat pots with Miracle Grow Seed Starter & 25% more perlite added, then I leached several times with RO water. Then baked'um in the oven at 250F for an hour, just to dry'um back out and maybe kill a nat or something. Found a golf tee is an excellent tool for seeds, it's taper makes a perfect hole, with a tapered point for the tap root. Then flip the tee over and lightly tamp the topsoil.

I am made a little chamber to get um going, might add a couple more fluoros & a muffin fan. Just a shipping container. I cut out a couple of holes real quick with a Dremmel. Not much else to add at this point...maybe they'll emerge tomorrow. Now on with the pics: :Bolt:

Well packn, if Growdoc/Tick is good to his word, you'll be sexing those things in another 7 days, does that fit into your schedule or are you going to battle them and try to keep them in veg for a bit longer.

I don't claim that I will see sex in few days. That is just info passed trough me from GD. I can just hope for the best.

Love, Tic

Growdate: Day 3...Cotyledons

issac... ...Growdoc might have done something with Seeds Direct, I don't know.
GMT... ...I think I'll wait a wee bit longer maybe 9 days... :biglaugh:
Tic... ...What kind of competition is it? Yield or Speed to harvest. You'll beat me on the speed... :biglaugh:
hazyfontazy... ...Thanks for stoppin by and I've added to that chamber a bit.
Growdoc... ...Hey where is Growdoc :chin:

Well the plumule has landed and jacked the seeds out of the ground. Welcome to the world little ones. From package to leaf in three days...I may yet be able to sex'um in 7 days. I added Lightning 97 to the seed/clone chamber and made little lamp reflectors. If you have never used L97, it's some cool shit, made for grow rooms, 97% relective, tough, scrubbable, bends and holds it's shape. More blah, blah, blah plants blah, blah or some pics. :Bolt:
Moldable Reflectors

Well that's it for now.
On a side note, I was mortified today when I got home. The maintenance guy came in my apartment and left a note and an A/C filter because my computer desk was in the way. This was scheduled for my building to test A/C's. I guess I was suppose to leave them a note to do it another time, but I didn't and he came in here. Didn't open the door to the grow, because my exhaust flange goes under the door and it wasn't disturbed. It does smell danky in here though and the thermostat is right next to the grow, which has a light leak at the bottom. Oh well, no cops here to greet me neither, live and learn.

Another nice start packn - and super nice germination chamber - love it! Keepin an eye on this run - looks like fun! :yummy:

Ahhh, maintenance men - I have painters around this week - I put a hasp and padlock on the door. The smell - not too bad yet, but I did order a Vaportec this weekend  in anticipation of things to come...

Growdate: Day 4...Begin Seedling Stage

Thanks MGJ...It's just what I had on hand, but it's working out great.

The Three Amigos have and continue to grow in unison. Not much to add, I have just been watering with a spray bottle with just RO water. Just a little at a time to keep the topsoil moist. The thing I don't like about grow fluros is that they seem to make the stems kinda lanky. May put a cool above the plants and a warm on the off lamp. More pix: :Bolt:

Just a quick update...I'm trying to make this daily, so I can log the whole grow. Got to get'um out of the peats, noticed a little mold on the peats. I'm going to use clear beer cups in the future. I'll put them in a 3L/3qt pots next. Well the trio is gettin lanky.

Hiya packn

Yes, a bit lanky. Maybe raise the plants closer to the light and swap bulbs out for reg cool white flouros? You gonna bury the stem a bit when you transplant? My TWs were all very stretchy clones - I probably buried 2+" of stem when I potted them.

Yowser - raining here again and the rh is now 70%!!! Glad I'm not in late flower

Growdate: Day 8...Seedling Stage 1 1/2

MGJ... ...you got that right...bury them I will.
Growdoc... ...Nice to see you back and liking the presentation of your awesome strain.
Well they haven't done too much lately. I repotted them in 3qt(2.8L) pots with about 2qts(1.9L) of soil buring the stems a good 2"(5cm). I'm using Bayer Advanced Garden Multi-Purpose potting mix. (50% sphagnum peat moss, composted pine bark, dolomitic limestone, perlite, NPK 0.18-0.12-0.12 two-way fert..quick release and slow). I added another 25% perlite and a wee bit of epsom salts. Found that pretty much all of the commercial pot mix is somewhat fertlized. I just water with aged filtered tap, I use Diamond Nectar fulvic/humic acids to lower ph from 7.4 to 6.5 about 25ml per gallon, way under what GH suggests how much of DiNec to use on seedlings. The first watering I also added 1/4 strength EJ Microblast and epsom salts. I probably wont give them any NPK nutes for several days.

I was going to leave them in the peats until root-bound. I didn't like the mold on the peats, which wouldn't have happened if I had got a fan on them earlier. :whip:

The plants are now under my 175w MH and stopped stretching. I put 4100k fluros in the chamber which had halted the vert growth as well. I guess no pics till Monday when site has new hard-drive.

Till next time... :friends:
