G13 Back cross- The seeds that were given away as a prize on Overgrow 2003

Did any of you get those G13 back cross seeds that were given as 3rd prize to lucky winners on Overgrow in 2003. (the winner of that competition won a tri to the cannacup in 2003, 2nd prize was a stash box.)

Anyway I was extremely lucky to win some seeds - G13 back cross, an Indica, and "Whos your daddy"

The Indica was very sweet- but very mild weed- and the "Whos your daddy" wonderful-
BUT the G 13- turns out to be an extremely SLOW SLOW grower- Did anyone else find similar results in that the G13 backcross is such a Slow slow SLOW grow?

As we are on G13 subject I polinated the plant last year with a cross of Old Ed, Swazi Gold from Southern Africa, and local Israeli weed that I have been develloping from season to season, I call it Etzel Supreme Divine, and the result is FANTASIC, I managed a winter harvest and this is one POTENT BRAND of weed. Uplifting, Fun weed and extreme munchie causer - and Is NOT a slow grow at all.

I have grown out several batches of POG..They were all very healthy and fast growers.Easy to clone,but when flowering they did seem to take abit longer.The ones I have out now are at a week longer than normal crop.The buds are realy dence.

I found that exactly. the Taller of the 2 that I am growing is 1.75, Beutiful, tall and healthy plants. But she is taking her time to flower.
The bottom baranches have begun to bud nicely and the taller branches are all showing signs.

Mine are done and they were very meaty.

i won POKx G-13 twice off OG. Plants grew nicely, until my major mite breakout. I finally got rid of them with a structure fire. lol Never got to sample my winnings. They vegged rather quickly though. Sorry not to be of more help.

I've been growing cuts from the mum I selected from POG13xG13bx for a couple of years now(I germed them the day I got 'em)...
She is a little slow, but I chose the quickest densest one, since the potentcy was roughly equal...
I too have found that the crosses made with this plant are very vigorous, nothing slow at about it. I have had very good results with my G13xNycd, and am looking forward to having soon a batch of G13xSDV3 seeds, which I have very high hopes for.

Grat3fulh3ad what a beautiful bud. Excellent news that on the new seeds that you are growing. Imagine all the variety of strains coming off just from POG13xG13bx that everyone crossed and we all have such high hopes for???

And Finally photos of my G13'. that is growing in the corner of my balcony on the 9th floor.
She gets the afternoon sun. The bottom branches are deep into flower, and the upper branches are begining to flower. I expect that she will be harvest completely by August.

2 weeks later.
All her branches from the bottom all the way to the top are budding nicely.

The bottom branches are ready for harvesing which I will do on the weekend.

The top branches are a week or so into budding and will still take some time.

Ready harvested bud, (from the bottom branches). The upper branches still have at least 30 days to go.
Very irritating this because I really want her to be finished so that I can put other plants in the corner where she is standing.
Oh well I will just have to wait and be patient.

Very nice G1`3's evryone...makin me even more anxious to get mine into flower







i got two phenos so far and two males two fems one of each pheno and im flowering all of em till i choose one fem and one male to keep..they are goin into flower in a couple of weeks...wot flower time can i expect..and do they stretch much???

Dr D, I think that you will have a long long wait until they go into flower, at least between 3-4 months,( mine just never stopped vegging)
Once they start full flowering and forming propper buds then they have a shorter flowering period. Or maybe i just think its a shorter period, I stopped counting months ago, but what is sure is that I planted these at the end of January.

Perhaps this is just because of my conditions because I grow outdoors.

My other G13 plant shows EXTREME stretching and I am wondering if she will ever bud as she should, She has almost ready lower branches and all the upper branches STREEEEETCH.
I am thinking of cutting her down because she is just taking up room.
Do Stretchy plants ever bud properly?
If using G13 in a cross then the cross is wonderful, Quick veg period, quick normal flowering period, wonderful buds, wonderful weed all round. (well I may be generalising because i just crossed with one strain and someone else said that the cross was good- and then look at DG's photos of crosses....)

But its MOMS...
YIIISHHHH, I am so ready to just chop this stretchy tree down.
but I will give 1 month more and if this plant does not show improvement then I will CHOPPP!!!! I need her place in the corner...

Here are some pictures of the stretchy buds, Perhaps they will still devellop further, perhaps not. The bottom branches are ok so I should be patient, but the plant just gains height...
