If the extracting tube is full of weed I like to completely fill it with butane to make sure every lasgt crumb get touched.
If you don't know the exact size of your tube fill it with water then tip the water into a measuring jug, this will tell you how much butane to use

My okief box was shaped like a giant cannabis leaf with neon flashing lights that said: this package contains material inappropriate for individuals under 18. There were also some indiscreet caricatures of stereotyped rastafarians smoking large joints as well as 4:20 emblazoned on every side of the package.
Luckily I had it delivered to my workplace. I'm not sure it would have been cool to ship to my home.

I like oil from cured buds better generally but I've seen some solid recommendations that fresh dried buds crumbled just a little is best.

Ran 2.5 cans of vector through the tubes. Took 45 min to purge most of the butane. As you can see the liquid butane was pretty dark as it came out to begin with. Gonna let it sit for an hour on the pad before i scrape

I've always wanted to figure out when the diameter maxes out and efficiency is lost.
It would seem like a narrow tube is better, made of glass (just bc it's fun to be able to see through

For others, to cut down on the 45 min purge one could pause and do multiple plates so the surface area to volume of the oil on the pan is increased.
Pre heating plates works too

uh, that's a 1.5" x 15" tube so 2.5 cans is about right

How much weed did it take to fill it and how much bho did it make.
Also how long do you let the butane "pass" the weed for. I often wonder if slow is better

Packing it tight is best bc it slows down the velocity and increases contact
it doesnt make a huge difference if your weed material is not too dense tho, as in hard buds should either be packed tight, or taken apart into small bits if not packed tight. soft fluffier buds it wont be more efficient to pack tighter.
