Purple Urkle - final flush

This is Purple Urkle. Also spelled Erkel, and even Eurkel.

This plant is not a big yielder indoors, but not bad. The buds are quite dense, so there IS weight hidden in the small flowers.

The smell is sweet and grapey. The taste of well-grown Urkle is really fun. The grape smell translates well into the taste of the smoke.

These have another week or so left.

Enjoy. :)

nice CC, those are some of the best erkle's I've seen yet. Some people who've grown her for years can nurture a medium yield out of her. I've never ran it myself, but I have the little girl growing into a mom, and can't wait to try her out. The flavor sounds great.

a rare full body shot of the Urkle

a rare full body shot of the Urkle

I've noticed over the years, that when we see pictures of Purple Urkle, they're usually close ups, not full body shots.

The reason is obvious really, the buds themselves are the show stoppers, the whole plant (grown indoors) is rarely impressive to look at.

In the spirit of research and cataloging, here's a body shot of an indoor Urkle. :) cc

BTW, that bucket holds the waste water from today's flushing. We have a working bathroom here, no need to piss in the buckets. :)

OH WOW MAN! You got a bathroom? sorry,I thought that's what the bucket was for? LOL.....How are ya CC? Purdy urkle ya got there.I was readin about purple strains the other day,and alot folks seem ta think that most of the purps that are around are jus spin offs of the urkle.Whats yer take on this? I also read some think she's a picky eater.I know you use organics (or did?),so I was wonderin yer opinion on that too? Btw very nice pics. Thanks,BC

Hi CC! I too am intrigued by the Urkle... I had a chance to smoke her and gdp a few months back when I was in the bay area... I can't remember a more tastier strain, I mean this stuff tasted good even on the ash hits, and the exhaled smoke was just so pleasant wafting around in the room... How would she fare outdoors? I wish she was available around these parts, but alas geography determines destiny I guess... Great show old friend, I bet they're going to be really tasty and potent... Mmmm mmmmmmm:D JAH bless and much love...

Damn CC, its crazy how similar our bud structure is on this girl. This my second run with her, so if it looks anything like yours, Im happy as hell :D I hear you on the yield, I did some topping/LST this round and she gave me about 2 oz, not great but good. The density makes up for the smaller buds it seems.

Excellent job :joint: Take care and stay safe

BC, yeah, I know... Some people don't believe we have indoor facilities up here in the mountains, but they tell me there's been plumbing around here since at least 1999. :) As for the spin off theories, damn dude, I might have a spin off! hehehe I just don't know. I see a lots of purples from Cali with similar leaves to Urkle, and that makes me wonder a bit. I have a Purple Kush clone here with similar leaves to Urkle, so maybe. It's such a nice smoke, I don't think it's at all improbable that many of these purps are related to PU in some way... maybe even precursors to the Urkle.

This one was grown with General Hydroponics' 3-part system, in Pro-Mix. I've been having a lot of luck and fun with the GH nutes. :)

Hindu Killer, some would call it elite. I call it lots of fun for a while. :)

Eugene, she's actually an outdoor strain. She does much better outdoors IMO.

Dusty, honestly, my first thought was 'no that's not Urkle'. Looks related though. Maybe I just need to see it closer? The leaves seem different to me. Notice on the body shot how that one large fan leaf is almost sativa-like? These leaves are VERY indicative of Urkle. Can you provide a closer pic? I can tell straight away if I saw the buds up close.

Thanks for popping by, all. Feel free to post other Urkle pics here for archive's sake. ;) cc
