free radical- looks like it may be too much watering...

i am planning to try some of these KC 33 and other KC brains...i hear they are the next commercial weed to replace big bud..

sounds like good soil and ph...

you did not give us much to go on...

lights?
temps?

maybe that is normal for those?

good luck

I just watered them today after letting them completely dry. I've been staying off the water and they looked even droopier (if thats a word) before I watered them earlier today so I'm kind of ruling that one out. They're under 4 cfls in a dresser with no doors or innards and a Stanley blower is circulating air close by. Ambient air has been 66-70 since germ, under the CFLs I would imagine maybe 5-7 degrees warmer.

On a side note I read a lot of stuff about bad germ rate so I bought 2 packs of 10 to be sure. Low and behold 8/8 germed and were above ground quickly. Hope to get some good pheno's sexed in time to throw a couple outside.

EDIT- 23w cool white CFLs.

well you might look at N then...if it aint ph and it aint water...

N deficiency possibly?

what kind of water?

maybe thats normal?

It does look like over-watering. Are you sure the soil is dry when you water them? Are you checking the weight of the pot?

I suppose a bit too much nitrogen at their age might also cause some of your problems. They do look pretty dark, and a bit ripply. I'd say flush the soil whatever you do.

hey man

I'm growing some bagseeds right now and they look exactly the same. They were fine up until i watered them. I watered them with pH'd water at 6.9 but when i tested the runoff it came out to 5.8. I suggest you test your runoff, I bet the pH dropped too low.

Okay, I'll check the runoff next time I water.

Yes I was using the weight of the pot to water. Maybe this time I will really stretch the watering time. It better not be too much damn N, this is suppose to be for starting seeds.

About what timeframe are you guys using for seedlings with good draining soil? Idk if you can tell in the pictures but the Fox Farms Light Warrior has plenty of perlite so I know drainage isn't a problem. I was thinking a good week, but maybe this time I'll try waiting 10 days or so.

Thanks for the input.

Ok so obviously getting worse. I haven't watered them since the 7th so they are gonna need it in the next day or two, so I haven't checked the runoff PH either.

I read on the Fox Farm site that after 5 days above ground they will start needing nutes, so is it possible they are hungry for some N already? I also read searching this site that Light Warrior has a low PH, so maybe PH is the issue here?

maybe someone can help me now there is obviously something going on.

Hi,
I would go with Promix so you can forget about the ferts for 3 months..

x-plant them and that should fix it..

I'd say low pH was the deal, at least at first. They look a lot worse, I'd flush the shit out of them even if they don't need water ATM. It seems like if you don't act pretty quickly they're gonna die.

yeah that's what i do, and when you test the runoff when you flush with neutral water it gives you a better indication of the soil pH. Good luck, bro.

Okay just flushed them, the ph of water going in was roughly 7.0 and it came out nearly the same, definitely within .1 or .2. Hopefully flushing does the trick and they right themselves in a few days. Otherwise Im moving to plan B and giving them 1/10 strength floranova veg.

I had better results when I used the 'crappy' miracle grow organic than any of these fox farms soils. Definitely ditching it after this.

yeah i remember my first grow...miracle grow, shitty scott's soil, and tap water. It went off without a hitch. It was beautiful, i had no idea what it was though cuz on the second round things went to shit, and i mean BAD.

Growing is def. more complicated when you know about/appreciate horticulture. My advice would be to never go back to MG, stick with the ferts that people on here recommend and sooner or later you will get things dialed in; we just got 10 new strains in here and knowing what each of them is gonna like is gonna be a bitch, but we'll get there.

Def keep us posted. I hate sick plants, but I sure love finding out what is wrong with them and makin em healthy again.

Ok they still arent getting any better, I think I'm going to give them very very light feeding with floranova grow in a few days. Maybe they will cheer up then.

If you've just flushed them not too long ago i would wait for them to dry out completely before watering/feeding again. if you keep overwatering the soil you'll never see if the flush actually accomplished anything.

Yeah I was planning on doing it next watering, thanks for looking out though. The cups are still a bit heavy, should be about 4 days or so. I hate waiting :(.

me too, man. HATE HATE HATE

My first run at organic soil is not turning out the way i'd hoped (really making me want to go back to chemical). But i'm in the same boat, all i can do now is wait and watch them get worse before they get better.
