Losing virginity

2 females for sure. we're transplanting them tonight. we've decided to get 3 gallons pots for them. the other two are a little behind, so we transplanted them last night and they're looking great today! i swear they grew 3 inches last night! i had to move the light up when i turned it on this morning at 5fuckin30. also, i think they're going to be girls too. we were thinking of going to two 150 watt (42 watt equivalent) CFLs. the lumens and kelvin are really only slightly higher, so we're still thinking about it. we're listening to suggestions that anyone has. and i'll take pics tomorrow afternoon-ish of all them in their new bigger pots.

Beginners luck! i hope they are all girls. For flowering with cfl's you need: 2,700-3000 kelvins / Warm White, you want the red spectrum cfl's, that are more orange then blue.

It sounds like yall are starting to like this growing thing eh?

I also say get another two 150w cfls and place them at a different angle. More light= more bud.

so, two are females for sure. the other two have been slower to develop and they're getting teased by the other girls for not starting puberty yet.

I thought it would be about female plants getting pollenated.
I still struggle to get plants looking that healthy...if this is your first go, thats really well done dude. :jump:

But yeah, get the highest wattage orange "warm" CFLs you can afford...gl

I cant really tell that those first 2 are females. They dont look sexed to me.

Those are very happy plants, not a blemish nice.

we have one weird one. it's been weird from the beginning, so it's nothing i'm worried about, but take a look at the pics and if anyone knows anything about it, then say so. it's fin rot, isn't it? tell me it isn't fin rot!!

Wow those are looking Beaaaaaa utiful. Keep up the good work. I'm growing my mothers on CFL's right now and i wish they looked like that!

we trimmed some of the lower branches the other day. they were getting really droopy and some of them were turning a little brown. i know it's because they don't get enough light on the lower parts. but they're not reacting badly to it. in fact, they've grown a little taller. we also got a new light. it's a warm white 150 watt (42 equiv) cfl. it's very yellow, in a pleasant sort of way. so the trimming may set them back a little, as far as flowering goes, but they've grown slowly from the start, so it'll just take a little more patience. i'll put up pics in a little while.

Plants always stretch the first 2 weeks of flower. Glad to hear you added some warm white cfl's. Good luck.

everything is looking good. they didn't take badly to being trimmed at all. the only bad news is that after i water and rotate them, my hands get really itchy. i guess it's an allergy, so i'm going to start wearing gloves when i handle them.

They look great. Better than my 4 unsexed bogglegum mystery cross i got in my flower chamber. I hope i have 4 girls like you! Yeah wear some latex gloves.

i have problems with latex gloves too. we got some that are nitrile...whatever that is. but they're powder-free and not latex, so they work great. i feel better now that i can touch them without scratching all my skin off.
also, we picked up another light, same as the last one we got. the lower branches just weren't getting enough light. but now they are.

So, it's D, the seldom heard from guilty partner...turns out this thread is severely misplaced and should probably be in a grow diary...not that we're professional about our posts or particularly informative as to our methods...nor are we very experienced, but I have no idea how to move this thread, and we've recieved so much support that in case there are those who wish to see it through with us, we're gonna continue to post. Here are some new pics with the new light....so now we sport two warm spectrum 150 watt equiv CFLs @ 2700 lumens (one from below and one from above) and one cool white (keepin up the internodal branching) of a slightly lower watt equiv (don't have the package anymore and we're so pathetic we don't keep a diary). They're happy in their brightly lit closet, happy ventilation, happy organic nutrients, happy to listen to me whisper sweet nothings when they wake up in the morning. We fuckin lucked the fuck out on all those pussies, and we're gonna keep a vigilant eye out for any hermies, but so far so good...luck o' tha draw or good karma, take yer pick...oh, and one last thing...Hail Satan!!! :headbange

Everything looks great, i would raise that bottom light into the middle of your plants, without them touching it of course. Leaves dont absorb light from underneath.

Just start a new thread in the Grow Diaries section.

So it's only been a few days, but we're just so damn proud of em...here's sommore pics...had to move the third light to above them cause lower leaves were getting dried out.
