Alright just made a batch of protein muffins. 20 grams of protein each. I still weigh 35 lbs. less right now then I did before I had my last back surgery last summer. I didn't lose fat, I lost overall body mass. It's hard to eat when you are in constant pain. I haven't worked out either but I think I'm to the point now where it's time.

When my health went for a crap around 2010, severe spinal issues, degenerating bones and lung disease I lost about the same amount of weight as you. I have been unable to get that weight back. I also lost about 3" off my height. Hope you get your weight back and being in pain sucks, that's for sure

Nice job on the muffins.

Hey Oldman

Did you get your coffee fix?

I just went and bought a coffee pot, grinder, and beans last week for the first time in at least ten years. The price for a cup of coffee keeps going up and up and I have had enough of that. I decided it's time to start making it at home. Tastes just fine. I like to freshly grind the beans though every morning, I think that makes it taste better. I may even finally experiment and try some Hawaiian and Ethopian coffee beans. I won't take it to the extreme that Ledo does though, that guy has his coffee shop at home, looks great but too much work for me.

I'm working on the weight. I can't do things I used to do anymore. I used to run a lot, and ski but I can't do that anymore. I worry about hurting myself because another back surgery basically means I am straight up and down, zero bending. And if I am to that point then I just don't want to play the game anymore.

Alright Buffy the feral cat is giving me the stink eye at the door, time for a meal.

I did get my coffee fix... on Sundays we usually watch the Antique Roadshow with coffee, also had Lemon Poppyseed muffins too. I never drank coffee until into my 40s and now I enjoy it. A few of the members have fancy coffee bean roasters and grinders, operated by computer, more than I can bring myself to do. Like the fellow you mentioned, his is fancy coffee setup.
I've had a friend bring back coffee beans from Kona and bud, always nice when you get an invite.

My life changed a lot after 2010, it was hard to accept my physical limitations. The surgeon told me he could not operate on me because it would be too dangerous and the results might help at all. I knew a fellow who did have that surgery and it did not help him. Upon visiting him he asked me to look at his surgery site he had over 40 staples and a terrible infection, the infection ate into his flesh and left a very large divot behind. All for no gain but more misery.
I've been taking morphine since 2010 and doing my best not to do things that hurt me, that has been harder than one might think. Sometimes it's very hard to accept physical changes to ourselves and learn to live with them.
I had a feral cat bite threw my thumbnail, that hurt. Better take care of Buffy.

Hello Jenn:)
