actually, i did. a very minor case that passed quickly. my sibling did not. DDT was very prevalent at that time.

it is sad when children die of disease, for sure.
so that chart is two generations. i have read that parents who survive measles pass the immunity to their kids. so this chart proves that.

sorry, didn't mean to be a dick. i was thinking of presumptive as kind of tentative - i have no doubt the immunity i got from measles is real and life long.
i have been wondering why measles is so infectious. my current hypothesis is that it is meant to infect as many as possible. i see it as a software patch (riffing on the idea of RNA as a bit of software code (my specialty)) - there are a more than a few cases of DNA/RNA being integrated.
or maybe an upgrade. damn intelligent designer, if you ask me.

Not an "anti vaxxa" here, but they better be tested, lots of clinical trials, 1-3-5-10-++ years to see if its safe, before my kid gets them.
Its a dads job to keep thier kids safe.
