The garage door fixit guy is coming today -- he had been due yesterday, but called to postpone.

It is my betcha that the coils in the little motor have finally burned through. The mechanism has been working since the Chateau was built 25 years ago.

I have had to open and close it by hand three fargin times since the mechanism took a crap. The problem with that is -- it's a special, heavy, hurricane-proof door. Closing it is really hard. Opening it is done by surging lifting increments of inches and rest, until finally at the overhead final push stage I am hanging on the door with spots in my eyes, and A-fib in my busted bod which is now apparently in open rebellion. Jeez.

And I am most ricky-tick going to try to shed my Gomer Pyle, and see if he knows anybody that knows anybody that can arrange a source of flowers.

I am one tired turkey. I can't do it like I use to. I run out of gas quick. Did get a lot done on the front yard. All the dead spots have been re-seeded and watered in. Hopefully with this storm I will get some help from mother nature with the watering duties.

Grub killer also put down on the grass. After close inspection the spots I though was winter kill turned out to be dead from the grubs. The little bastages ...... hopefully the grub killer will do it's job.....this is the second application. Will do a couple more before the grass really gets going.

Rest of the day is gonna be spent chilling.

I have a couple of plants almost ready to replace the male I culled earlier today. Need to up-pot and give them a few more days in veg and then they will be good to go.

Easy access to the repair, that's a good thing right off the bat.

Hello big:)

Hola Amigo!

easy access on Part 1

not so easy access on Part 2 which requires me to belly crawl about 30’ feet under house in a crawl space less than 3’feet

and it’s muddy , spiders and webs , and some old fiberglass insulation

I need a fecking hazmat suit

so yeah , in site of SubGirls admonishment to get all the right parts , I still needed a second 50 mile round trip for more parts

rough day for a rookie apprentice wanna be plumber 🤓

I hate plumbing almost as much as I hate electrical work. As far as plumbing goes I never get the correct parts.
