They use to host an Ironman competition in the city over where we go shopping and for fun. This year the Ironman is finished after maybe 10 years. The bikers would come during the summer and practice the route.I've noticed people on bikes get way with a lot of shit. They dont follow the rules of the road. In fact I just watched this guy get nudged by a car because he said the hell with stopping at the red light and the woman that was turning right, well, made her right and he basically rode into her. He gets pissed and kicks her car and keeps going. 100% his fault, and he was still being an asshole. Hell just yesterday I watched some guy riding his bike down the middle of the turn lane, like it was a bike lane.
I think you would like Ann Arbor Fish, they"ve turned half the town into bike lanes....It is probably the most bike friendly town I have seen. They have bike parks, bike parties, bike trails, the hash bash.....

They held little concern for the people driving cars and would bike in groups, causing drivers to watchout for them because of their carelessness. With over 2000 people entering the competition the highway would get crazy. As of last year the event had become too big and troublesome. It was a big economic input for the city. It just got too big and the bikers could be very rude on the road. I'm very glad it's done, I believe it has moved to Hawaii. They can put up with the craziness of it all.

for a while, lol. had one that liked riding next to the line making it hard (illegal, actually) to pass him on 2-lane road bypassing downtown from chemical plant, HUNDREDS of cars at shift change. last time i saw him (two years ago), they were loading him into a Rescue Squad vehicle. his bike looked like a Bud Lite can after someone stomped it for recycling...

Not that anyone deserves that but some of these bike riders are oblivious to the world around them and put themselves in a bad position. Then they give you the hairy eyeball like it's your fault.
Bikes and riders don't come out well when encountering thousands of pounds of metal coming at them.
I never understood why they couldn't follow the rules of the highway, it's not complicated.
