We get the damn things here. When me and Mrs Pute walk the lake in the hottest months they come out about mid day. They go for our ankles….bite will get your attention….Are they like midges Dime?
Have a look at videos of Scottish midges... bitey little bastards they are.
I'm itching just thinking of them.
Doing some general maintenance and cleaning in the grow today. I can’t stand a messy garden.
Have some up-potting with some starts that have rooted overnight. But that happens when the cleaning is done.

Snow is good we need much more here.
A flame thrower or fuel/air bomb on the swarm comes to mind.We have those clear winged bastards here.
A guy i know went to great lakes fishing he said they were so bad that the only thing that worked was that stuff dairy and cattle farmers use for fly control.
He said he used it there were so many dead on the bottom of the boat that they were actually slipping on them all.

For some reason they don't like it... and I get to smell like an old lady whilst on holiday!
