Hey boo, there are about a dozen dog trainers in your area. I’m sure that they are not all appropriate for Ivan’s behavior but maybe there is one that has a group lesson to give him some exposure to other dogs and give you an opportunity to work with him on the problem. That’s half the battle. you don’t want him getting in trouble or hurting someone or another dog. Sometimes it helps to be overwhelmed with other dogs doing the same training to “get it” instead of acting on what he thinks is best by his limited experience around other dogs and people.Platz is the down command. I give both the dogs and Dutch snaps to it, but when Ivan has got his eyes elsewhere I think Jesus could talk to him and he wouldn’t listen… I pride myself in a well trained dog that is overly obedient and it’s been every bit of 12 years since I’ve had a dog that acted up. Ivan will get his head right directly I assure you.
