thai food + thai weed , pure heaven mate ..
cant wait to see what you think of krabi ,
hopefully there is less tourists than there was for me recently in Phuket ,
man not sure i could do that again ,
lovely places , but a little over run during tourist time of year ,
better when its a bit hot and rainy at times i think over having to fight for space ...
Jack fruit for breakfast is a must, mangosteen is delicious but might be out of season, mango time is pretty close as well, maybe some have started a bit yet.

…still, I’m gonna guess the original stuff must have been “a strain” at minimum given how folks from many different parts of the world consistently reported the same “holy sh**, rocket effect.

Oh man! There is a Thai restaurant in San Ramon, Costa Rica. I have to drive over an hour to get there. The chef is the daughter of a famous chef in Thailand. When Thai diplomats come to Costa Rica, they drive two hours from the capital to go eat there because of her family's fame. I stumbled on the papaya salad. I can't eat the whole plate, but I order it everytime and get some noodles or something. I always bring two days worth of food home with me.

In a week I'll be in Thailand with my wife for a few weeks. Prempavee's is really interesting and I'm thinking about ordering something. If it works for you, BC Lone Wolf, I'll think about it. It would be amazing if it worked.

We're on Koh Pu/Jum, a very relaxed, quiet island with the best papaya salad at halal food restaurant. After that we're on Koh Chang Ranong on the border with Myanmar. There's hardly anything going on there, there's not even an ATM or 7-Eleven. But peace and quiet and good, cheap weed.Hopefully.

What DNA has to do with landrace weed? They dont know how to treat sativas, they cant judge anything
Is this about the smell of the plant?

20 grams flowers 150 baht. Prempavee sold me flowers delivered in just a zipper nylon bag with all terpenes lost and not the best of cures 10 grams for 500 baht.
Hang karong 20 grams 150 baht(this means 20 grams for 4,5 us dollars, yes four and a half dollars. With a 5 dollar bill you get change back). Long time I dont compalin about the price and I am happy with the product presentation. Very long time. There is still hope. I am trying this later

Thanks for sharing this space Funkyhorse I find this thread super helpful, informative and enticing. I take your word as reference and many of you here that have smoked and continue to smoke the purest Thai out there.
Btw all those bricks you showed are amazing, I wish you would have shared this info earlier I could have consider my options better. I first seen Preem gear just earlier this year I believe thru Zomia. At first she wasn’t in the spotlight but I guess strain hunters put the magic on the brand??

Truth shall prevail and if the product sucks then it sucks. I wish they felt true pride in their product, it would be a shame to loss that old knowledge envolved in the drying, curing and string wrapping process. They should protect it and encourage it just as they do with Thai massage.
I seen it a real possibility (buying flower from Preempave) based on the results I seen on here and on Grandpas thread he grew some of her stuff. I said to myself if I’m gonna Russian roulette 100$ on weed I will give her a try. Soon I will be in Krabi and around for one week so plenty of time for successful delivery. I’m moving lots so I really hope the delivery arrives on time… I mean how they do it ?? 3 days delivery from Northen Thailand all the way down to Krabi that alone is good enough for 100$ I particularly want to try the Red Laos she got on her menu.
Keep in mind I have Canadian legal market prices as reference… 50 grms organic Northen Thai flower is sooo cheap compared to the 28grms avg 100$ legal swag Canadian market offers.
Definitely some good brick is around in the Bangkok area but I’m a tourist with no plug here. Do you think in the Ranong area bordering Myanmar might be a place to look for “Burmese” brick? Is it worth the risk crossing the border??
Also I read koh Phayam Has a surfing scene and possibly a growing scene. history has shown surf + weed births legendary stuff.

The high was totally new to me, almost like it deserves its own label, type of high: Thai.
Took me like what felt 30 mins to start feeling it and let’s say 3/4 of that 1grm joint. Around an hour to 2 after I was full peaking and I still had this spice taste on my mind. when I was smoking the spice was really something that took a hold of me, toke after toke I started to have this ash like aftertaste, I felt I was getting high just out of my own saliva… lol
I took the gondola high as fuck smelling of weed as loud as it could be and man I felt soooo happy just looking at all this beauty and vastness, always imagining how it must’ve been back in the 70’s with the Thai stick trade just peaking all these gondolas moving tons. I am truly amazed of the high density of commerce I have seen here, it’s mind blowing. Billions of baht moved every single day. I can only imagine the days of backpackers like myself coming here 50 years ago and walking around like I did and just buying pounds and pounds of Thai sticks to smuggle back. It’s just incredible all that history,

Imo koh phayam is too small for growing. 10kmx5km island will still have lot's of salt in the air.
Could the cheap brick weed come from Myanmar ? Seems cheaper to move from Ranong and border than Phuket ?? I’m just wondering because I’m heading there, same as Phangan the islands are supplied if they aren’t growing their own and it seems that lots product is being moved around.
I was 2014 at koh phayam, all i smoked there was burmese brick. We didn't try to get something in ranong as the laws were different then but phayam aka lazy island was smoking from first day on. Was a good sativa smoke, trippy/dreamy iirc.
Wonder if the burmese pirate is still hitting his bamboo bong in the jungle. The one he made for me was awesome to smoke.

A good old school Thai should take around 30 min before it starts to hit you hard, you feel it soon after you smoke it but the high just builds. It comes at you in waves like it peeks backs off and continues, the best way I describe the high is it's like LSD.
i think its the best way to consume thai weed , the traditional bamboo bong ,
we had them when i first started toking in the early 80s ,
then i saw them again when i went to visit prof 77 and toked with his thai wife ,
so smooth and easy to toke i found ,
i went home and made one straight away,
they just hit nicely i think ,
only drawback is cleaning , they need a lot of it ...

You are right at Ranong not much happening and I visit one shop all the hype strain. Nothing Thai.
In Phayam I found 3 shops my first visit north of the island I found this;

Yes indeed and I was surprised to see the Thai Stick flower im the jar right next to the brick weed at same price 50baht/g (2,50cad/grm), I order the Thai stick. Asked for 10 grms and the gentleman was kinda to top up and extra 5 so 15grm total for 500baht.
I asked him for some name where this flower came from? a village ?, something info on it…
Chom porn he wrote on the bag and said it’s coming from there. The closest name I found on google maps was Chom Thong in the Bangkok area.

The Thai stick flower he had was compact but not brick, many many tiny bracts looks like a bundle of dry herb. Smells like dry eucalyptus, floral, gentle nose with a dry leather scent. First time I smell this. I associated fruity tropical citrus with sativas or tropical cultivars, seems to fit more equatorials being more fruity?? I’m not sure anymore; but this herb smells delicious, not fruity. My wife said it doesn’t look like weed almost (perception of Canadian standards flowers).
The flower seems to be fractals of tiny calyxes. It’s not oily, I wouldn’t describe it anything near sticky. It burns super smooth very clean, not super spicy taste (nothing near the first joint I tried). It’s not extremely potent I was able to smoke 3 joints all day with so far no come down.
I have a slight cumin taste in the palate at the end of the smoke. The spice could build up then the taste is like chewing fresh mint.
It’s a mellow high not necessarily psychedelic but it does enhance the senses. Set and setting could enhance the high even more. Introspective.
