the balvenie double wood or port wood or oban for me...but i quit booze a while ago now...
Yes - me too ✋️ - as I've aged - I have listened to my body and mind at an ever increasing rate - and now they tend to dictate what I put into them or not - as the case may be - and generally alcohol is a distinct NO-NO - unless its a rare event yearly - when a very cold beer aligns with socialising - in the sunshine 🌞

2.05am - and I'm up in a mostly quiet 🤫 hospital ward - meditating 🧘‍♀️ on getting a successful surgical procedure today - that moves and fixes the loose sensor/wire connected to my new pacemaker - so hopefully giving my heart and body increased longevity - Ommmmm - Ommmmm -

Well, before I mistakenly hit send I was going to say that gypsy, you’re one of us old farts now and we’re all pulling for you and got you in our prayers. You’re a tough old goat so you won’t have any problem getting through this which is the final leg of your journey.

Very heartening indeed to hear such heartfelt ❤️ words - about once again getting a hearty heart ❤️ - that beats 💓 to the correct rhythm - and is not all over the place 💔 which could easily lead to some broken 💔 hearted situation - leaving this old Gypsy cold and heartless -

*Thanks Boo - we are pulling for you too - and hope that you can keep your feet on firmer ground - and not sink in the swamp out there (physically and mentally speaking) -

I sure hope this is your last night in.
There's really not much more they can flounder at this point.

Ahh - as they say ' what doesn't kill ya - just makes ya stronger 💪 ' - so have to look at it that way - I 'spose - but I reckon that even with this procedure rectified - they will want to keep me in here for observation - for a while -

Thank you for your reply and a glimpse into your personal journey through life.

I have only attended yoga classes for exercise and enjoyed the sense of well being after a session. My sons wife has spent time at an ashram in India. I have not been drawn into yoga in that regard. She has advised me to consider restorative yoga to help with my aging body.
For what it's worth, you don't necessarily need to get into it that deep in order to achieve restorative effects. What prompts me to say that is a story I recall seeing on YouTube a while back. I don't know the guy's name who the story belongs to nor was I able to locate it again to post it here for you. Basically the person who this story was about was in really bad shape, overweight, unable to walk or do much exercise to lose weight. Anyway some how he crossed paths with a former wrestler who went by the name of Diamond Dallas Page, who aside from wrestling is also a Yoga Instructor. Now I don't know Diamond Dallas Page's credentials as a Yoga instructor so it's possible in his resume he picked up his yoga training on a deeper more mystical level? Anyway if I remember correctly his contact with the guy who the story was about was all done online, at least at first and he encouraged the guy to do Yoga to improve his health and his situation. I believe Page sent him some instruction on Yoga moves/exercises and gave him advise online. From that the guy decided to give it a try. Due to his condition he really struggled with it at first but he stuck with it. Over time he lost the excess weight, regained his mobility to where he could start walking again and in the end he was able to do all sorts of things he couldn't before. Including being able to stand on his head for extended periods. Something he would never have been able to do before. The video showed the guy's transformation and if it was true the transformation was pretty amazing. Definitely what one might call restorative and from what I recall it didn't involve going to an ashram or anything too mystical although I can't rule out that he might have left some details like that out of the video. Near as I can recall everything was accomplished thru his determination in doing the exercises and whatever inspiration/motivation he got from Diamond Dallas Page.

I remember when Page was a wrestler. He was one of the bad guys . 😡 That is pretty wild that he is a yoga teacher. I guess wrestling is fake!!!! 🫣

Maybe or maybe not, afterall they were able to detect the issue with the wiring thru that fancy piece of technology they sent you in the mail and I blieve getting a pacemaker is frequently done on an out patient basis. Then again this hospital seems to have a tendency to keep you there longer then what's considered typical here in the States. Now I know in your country they got that fancy shmany single payer healthcare system that many in the US aspire to. So I don't know if there is any benefit financially to the hospital for keeping you longr then absolutely necessary but over here hospitalsroutinely push people out of the hospital after just a few days due to pressure from the insurance companies and the threat of being sued for insurance fraud.

So hopefully once they get that pesky, uncooperative wire to go where it belongs, they'll give you the good news, "Okay, you can go home now."

Well actually, like many wrestlers he spent time as both a good guy and a bad guy and no, wrestling isn't fake, just the drama they dress it up with on TV is fake. That's how it goes though, people love to see all that drama.
