Hi all, as some of you my know this is Tonygreen and I's collaboration, now at F3. The germination test gave 10/11 .

Pine Tar Gush was originally a cross of Tom Hill's Pine Tar Kush and Tony's Gorilla Bubble BX4.
Lab tests on the F2s showed significant levels THCV as well as a decent amount of CBD.. and proved a really popular smoke amongst those who grew them out.

here is the previous thread for PTG :

Here are the seedlings, about 2 weeks old. They somehow survived me going away for a week so i thought i should run them!
Some germed whilst i was away so the sizes vary a little...

That’s an interesting profile. Medicinal properties I would imagine.

Thanks, yes THCV is pretty rare, and in addition to that, Pinene is pretty amazing. Not only anti inflammatory/pain relief and anti anxiety, it is also proven to improve memory and concentration, and is thought to counter the short term memory loss from the THC (although this may be a bit too potent for that lol)
Plus it smells and tastes lovely !

The CofA is very interesting indeed. Very unique. Some of the more common terpenes like myrcene and limonene totally absent. And of course the THCV presence, though 0.4% seems quite low.

I don't know how I missed this strain but I need it!!

I grew out some PTK and enjoyed the strain. It needed some resistance and structure bread into it and I am guessing the GB is doing just that.

Very intriguing...

Hey les. yeah that is pretty much what has happened. As Tony explains, the GB is brilliant at taking on the terps of a donor parent in a cross.. The straight PT Kush had fairly decent potency.. but the Pine Tar Gush is defo a huge step up. I think they also bush out a lot better and we will hopefully see that in this test grow.

here they are today coming on nicely:

Cool stuff Tonygreen !

Sorry for lack of pics of these, i went away and had to put them to 12/12 as that was the only room i had. Ive got 4 nice females which i am going to go ahead and flower untopped. There are a couple of test grows coming up on these so we should get to see some bigger, bushed out plants soon enough
Here are 2, one is quite a bit taller and i was surprised it was a female:
