I'd rather use a light mover because all this thing is doing is causing the light to travel a further distance and disfuses the amount of light directly underneath it. Keep in mind, light loses half of it's intensity by every inch, so the further the light has to travel it's losing intensity exponentionally.

not saying that it was the reason he pulled such incredible weight, but at least you know reputable growers are using it and still getting great results.
why would you want to stick a peice of steel between your globe and plants. Surely youd be wasteing light. cant see it doing much and not big sellers here you would be better off spending that $20 on a fan upgrade or add an oscilating fan blowing into shade does the same thing without shading apart of your globe.
