Got two phenos back in flower, did them in 3 gallon pots, vegged about 3 weeks before flowering, just transplanted around 4 weeks of flowering into 10 gallons. Trying to dial in the feed, the first one has some slight clawing but temperatures have been around 30-32 degrees c in the lights on. Got trellis up the other night, so far this first pheno I have been having almost every day for weeks, no real tolerance build up, no ceiling or at least one I want to try and find. I find her strong and blissful effects, pie eyed, laughing and relaxing finish. Shes around 5 weeks flower here.

This pheno I pulled the first lady at 12 weeks just to make space for these two, smells like lemon cleaner and bit of oil, more slender over all but long running colas of dense flowers, haven't had a sample of her yet probably this one needs 16 weeks for me but will see, shes at around 4 weeks flower here.

Looking forward if you're ever doing the 4th generation Golden Tiger @dubi I have version 2 on the way and f2s from version 1, but the v4 you mentioned in the thai thread being a possibility in the future would be awesome I think.

Thank you dubi for this awesome plant.
The curing is coming along nice mostly a tea and lemon smell but strong.
Sampled some with my sister last week, smokes really clean no body effect all in the head.
It may look a bit airy at first sight but its not, here is the clone at 9 weeks and 1 pot of the smaller stuff after about 5 weeks.

Thanks to you @Moody303, for sharing your impressions after harvesting your GT3! :) It seems like a phenotype that can finish in around 12 weeks, not much longer. Green tea and lemony terpenes are typically Thai, like it's the case of the Thai mother of this F1 hybrid. Glad to hear that the effects are cerebral; hope they're also of high quality, potent, and long-lasting!

Crazy Thai branching and stretching @Limeygreen :D excited about this new run after learn how well you grew GT3, and usually second run from clone with same genetics gets much better!

Thanks for your interest on a possible future Golden Tiger 4th version :) Idea i had i mind was to cross (Thai Koh Chang/Meao Thai) x Old Malawi Killer selected females with pure Thai Chiang Mai, that would make a 75 % Thai hybrid (with 3 different Thais), and 25 % Malawi genetics.

Last year, I traveled to Thailand, Trat province, and its islands (Chang, Mak, and Kood) and managed to get some interesting new pure Thai accessions that can expand our Thai breeding in the future.

Looking forward to seeing the new thais and golden tiger developments, it's nice to have worked landraces to find things instead of trying to work myself, will try a golden tiger outdoors this year at 42 degrees north, might be too cold and wet when she needs to ripen but want to try.

I think it's paramount you start to work on GTv5 with only 6.25% Malawi for its bulk yields and high THC content but ditch the wet socks aroma :ROFLMAO:. A big bulky chunky Thai that smells like eau de cologne (lemon, musk, green tea, flowers) is what we want 🤤 .

They all smell different but similar. The first is by far the most complex and stinky. Hard to describe. Not quite lemon but soft citrus and greasy funk? Very good. Another I think is what you would call green tea. Also very good but not as weird and exciting to smell as the first. And the third is similar to the second just not as strong or defined.

Plants are bent to fit under light at 5.5 feet height and in 2 gallon pots. One got a little light burnt. I have barely been present for this grow and even forgot and left the light on 50% power.

So far super happy with these seeds.

Looking good there @bigtacofarmer :) thanks for your support and for joining us with the endeavours of your 3 GT3s, much appreciated! The female in the first bud pic of your post looks really juicy even already ripening, the other 2 seem to be slower flowering and are barely in early-mid flowering stage.
I've enjoyed everything I've grown from Ace. If I could afford I'd grab a few packs of everything you offer.

I did a quick vape test yesterday at what is now 2 weeks of curing. I didn't use the Volcano but only the Mighty+ (portable vaporizer from S&B). So there was less material. I took several hits from the same very resinous bud.

The vapor was mostly savoury. The experience was very heavy. There was an initial rush of 30 minutes that was incomfortable, very very very cerebral and extremely intense. I had to confront difficult emotions and feelings. These feelings are mine and not those of the plant obviously but the plant sombre energy resonated with them and made them come to the surface. I could feel my heart beating much faster than usual.

After that initial rush, the intensity dropped somehow and the high settled for a VERY (+4h) long lasting and very "heavy" plateau although less challenging than the initial rush. All the descriptions I've read about the pure ACE Malawi matches what I experienced : "wall of inebriation", "druggy feeling", "narcosis" etc all that made sense. I understand why some people say it's not exactly "couch lock". Couch lock is not the right way to put it I agree because there is no real physical debilitation, nor is there any sedation. Essentially it's a very heavy dazing and intoxicating headspace, the cannabis equivalent of drinking 2 bottles of whiskey. There was not much Thai effect. I must've had a more Malawi pheno I guess. No panic attack though.

I'll post more vaping review as the plant cures some more. Hopefully the curing will improve the experience.

I'm still a bit dazed now.

Last a little side remark. This was not the first time I experience such a sombre head space with cannabis. I've had another experience like that with a strain from Mandala seeds called "8 miles high" which also contains African genetics ! Not as heavy as that GT3, but the same kind of dark energy. I've also had much more glowing African experiences too with TRSC Malawi Gold and ACE Ethiopia both of which I'm eager to try again but these were very up experiences.

BTW how long should GT3 be cured ?
3 months has been the best for me. Four months it is still very good, but the altitude changes a bit. You are no longer flying at soaring high altitudes, but it is kinder in the sense that time perception is not as warped (time seems to progress very rapidly under the effects of this strain ... like if you started smoking at 9 am, worked throughout the whole day, it will be all of a sudden be 4 pm and you are nearly out, with lots of energy) as it is when smoked in the first three months. Still, not social weed under any terms in my view, although I can certainly socialize with people I feel very comfortable with and that keep topics interesting and controversy free (mentally you are not on the ¨let´s save the world mode¨ when smoking this. For me, it is the perfect weed to get things done. It gives me drive, character, and a sense of purpose. I tell my wife that I feel kind of powerful too when I am on it. Like I believe all of my delusions of grandeur when executing something. For example, I had been dealing with a Junior co-worker who all of a sudden seemed to distribute tasks to me out of the blue and that just would not recognize any structure or hierarchy. This weed turned the ¨I am the boss here because as you can see you can´t do the job the way I can¨ kind of attitute without actually putting the guy down for having believed he was at the level he thought he was¨. The guy even stop calling me bro out of the respect he recognized I merited. Powerful cannabis. It is a medicine in reality. It straightened me out for the past 4 months that is for sure.

well grown

serious lime taste./smell,,.lots of resin

enjoyable not short lived high..some sedation...lets call it relaxation

not one that makes me jump up and play my guitar...but will not neglecting it

#4 sample best so far followed by sample #6

pheno #3 was a bit too much relaxation for this old guy..but still good weed

First time growing GT3. All 6 are like the photos @ 31/2 weeks in 40 gals or in ground. There yellowish and very slow in upward height growth. Is this typical? Any advice welcomed. View attachment 19003560 View attachment 19003561
Thanks for choosing GT3 @dillycid  much appreciated! Are you growing indoors or outdoors? What are the temps, pH, EC, and light/sun exposure?

When seedlings start that way, it's usually a problem with the soil. GT3 is a very vigorous F1 strain, and you should be seeing vigorous green seedlings right from the start.
