Nice, glad to see this topic up.
I was actually reading a book of DJ shorts a bit ago that said he uses them for color ect. this is the first time I have ever heard of it, so its good to read all this about it. I was wondering, If i have a 2kw budding room, should i switch one to MH, I have a perpetual grow so i have 3 stages of budding under the same light. Thanks for the info!
hay v
its like moving from season to season ,,,,if its fluid its fluid
in my experence,,,if you add MH in late flower it makes calax swell-up massive in a week,,,,but if you start to add blue and reducde the red spectrum, plants seems to re-veg,,,,,,[if you DID want to reveg!!, addin the MH in late flower would speed up your reveg],,,,ya know what im sayin v?,,,,,,,,,,imo plants have set modes,,,if you prepare for a mode the plants "seem" to respond quickly,,,,
i think MH on its own in late flower is heddin for re-veg..,,,but i can see benifits
Weren't you just telling us that a single "bulb" grow of MH vs a single HPS would result in the MH winning by a landslide?
Which book? Link please? Been meaning to pick up some reading materials.
thanks for all the responses and thanks for that article konstantgrdnr!
what i really want to know is if a plant can immediately utilize all the light from an abruptly changed spectrum (say from HPS to MH), or if it has to adjust to it slowly.
keep it coming folks. i'll post my observations on changing to CMH when the bulb arrives
