what social networking sites have real people?

Hi,
I am leaving Myspace.
There are just so many bots there. Everyday, I go to my page and see that I have messages, but 99% are from bot advertising their porn sites.
I like the concept of social networking sites.

my question is
what social networking sites for the most part are made up of real actual human people.
I guess it's inevitable that once a site gets big enough it will be a feeding ground for bots and spam.
could you suggest some that are still small?
all help will be greatly appreciated.

you must have clicked on a lot of those things so they keep sending you shit cuz i've gotten a few of those but very very rarely. if it's someone i don't know i just delete it so i guess that's why i don't get many
