I just thawed 10 large-ish wild-caught sea scallops and 20 (10-30-count) wild-caught Argentinian, de-headed, deshelled, deveined shrimp to either add to the soup I just made about 3-gallons of, or for a red Thai curry stir fry.

Just finished making about 3 gallons of a chicken vegetable soup with mostly local veggies, and a somewhat spicy hot-sour broth sort of affair. Pretty tasty, and plenty of it.

Probably freeze some of the soup for the trips to Anchorage for medical in the not-too-distant future. Not like there's a shortage of either; trips to Anchorage, or the soup.

That t/bone looks scrumptious hawk, how did you cook it?

I have started to eat my steaks a tad on the rare side the past while, must be with old age and maturity 😅
For years they had to be well done..

I just noticed there is two threads dedicated to food one is called (what are you eating today) and the other thread is called (what are you eating rite now 🤣)

Thai red curry stir-fry in organic coconut cream/milk and a bit of reduced chicken broth, with lots of fresh minced ginger, kafir lime leaves, a bit of lime juice, sliced boneless skinless chicken thighs, large peeled and headed shrimp, 1 jalapeno, red curry paste, broccoli, celery, red sweet pepper, sliced organic cabbage, and sweet onion.. with organic short-grain brown rice optional for those who don't mind the carb bomb it represents.

I dry brined it for about a day with Montreal steak seasoning and salt.grilled it with shitty cheap coals and a little shitty personal grill.its hard to maintain the Temps right so it didn't get as hot and was uneven and I overcooked it a little too medium but my mom said it was almost perfect so I guess that's good.it wasn't bad
