Showing progress for the week. I am going to have to be out of pocket next week, so I will be skipping a week of pictures. Hopefully I will be able to keep the plants alive over that week and will be back the following week.

First up, Boost Bud

It looks the same as it did last week and the week before. Still has some white pistils so I will let it keep going for a while longer.

Danone stretched a bit and is starting to flower

Noosa is coming into her own. She seems to favor the sativa side of the family a bit. At least her leaves are thinner than her sisters.

Layla, you got me on my knees, Layla!

I have been putting the plant in a saucer of water and letting the plant draw the water up from the bottom of the container. I think that as the water in the saucer evaporated, the concentration of fertilizer in the remaining water increased, so the plant got too much fertilizer for a while. Once I figured out the problem, I started watering from the top until I saw water coming out of the bottom of the container. Once it stopped coming out, I dumped the water in the saucer out. That seemed to correct the issue of too much fertilizer.

I have the plants under my homemade LED lights. I have them in with larger plants that are on blumats. The reservoir for the blumats has city water with about one teaspoon per gallon of Maxibloom. I have no idea what the pH of the water or soil is. Never took a pH reading. No idea of ppm's or anything of that nature.

I do put in about half a teaspoon of powdered PeKacid in five gallons of water as DIY drip clean.

I have the blumats on a loop with both ends of the loop going back to the upper reservoir. In the middle of the loop, I have a tee connection and a length of small diameter tubing with a valve then a short length of hard plastic tubing on the other side of the valve. That short section, 6 inches or so, is like my watering wand.

When I first set up the plants on blumats, I use the valve to run some water through and make sure that there is no air trapped in the system. Now that I am doing the yogurt cup challenge, I use the hose and valve off the blumat loop to water and fertilize the yogurt cups. With the valve, I can throttle the flow rate back so that the little plants can absorb the flow and with the hard plastic extension I can put the water right where it needs to be.

Soil in the cups is a mix of coco coir and some peat based seedling mix, since I started seeds in the yogurt cups and I have sometimes had trouble starting seeds in pure coco coir.

6) Harvest must be no more than 20 weeks from today, that's May 24th 2017 . You can enter and finish ANY time between now and and the 24th of May, but MUST be harvested with finished product pictures and smoke report by May 24th 2017.

I am still plugging away.

I had to go out of town for a week. I guess I did not have time to fine tune my watering system while I was away. When I got home and checked on the plant that was just about ready to harvest before I left, I found that the media was dry as a bone and so was the bud. It looked pretty nasty because it had dried out under the lights.

I will weigh it up when I get batteries for my scale and post.

Luckily, Noosa, Layla, and Danone got more water and survived. I am running out of time with these plants, so they may not be ready to chop and dry by May 24th, but I will go ahead and keep posting their progress, even if I am not able to harvest and dry them in time for the end of the contest.

Job well done Sforza. Those remaining 3 look really nice. It'll be a close finish like you said, but you can do it!

That dried out bud, Id put it in a mason jar with a fan leaf to rehydrate it. Then dry it out as you normally would after that. It'll boost your weight a little bit hehe!
