They packed up and left.. lol..
I used to have to help out a buddies dad and retrieve a swarm from a bush at a neighbors yard once a year.. just shook them into a box and put them back.. just as long as we had the queen..
Ok  I understand, I’m surprised they would want 2 leave his bountiful property… he grows good weed!

They usually swarm when there is more than one queen in the hive and the hive is just way too packed full of bees…it is the older one that gets forced out…when she does leave the hive she takes half of the bees with her and the remaining dominant queen will kill any remaining queen cells within the hive

It didn’t get real bad until just after our last song…it rained so hard that the rain just pooled on the new concrete pad they had put down last week…we had our front end speakers sitting right off the lip of the stage and as soon as we saw the water coming in we cut power immediately and unplugged the speakers and got them up on the dry pavilion floor…I set up my Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra on a tripod and recorded the whole gig…I’ll get the recording off my phone and will get you a copy Chunky if you like…Thanks for comin down and checking us out…hope ya make it out again during this summer concert series…maybe we’ll even get Lester Beans and Starcrash to show up…I also sat in with my close friend’s country band yesterdat…totally whipped this mornin…2 gigs in a weekend anymore takes a lot of this old timer’s energy away…gotta get energized still got to get the veggie gArden completed and then get the outdoor hooch happenin!!!

The beekeeper I was working with would split hives and make new queens by separating day old larvae and feeding them royal jelly. It was a cool process to see.
