@Mars Hydro Led ..

Mars hydro: As you are well aware from my emails, I want to return the two 6500s I purchased as they are not suitable in a 4x8. I’m disappointed since you had recommended these lights for the tent. I bought them based on your recommendation as to what lights should go in that tent. Now I have been trying to return these under the mars hydro 30day return policy and have been unable.

Keep in mind, This is a legal warranty from mars hydro, not the dealer. You have told me several times to get the dealer to honor the mars hydro manufactures warranty. I’ve let both you and warranty support know the dealer is not responding and I need assistance in resolving this matter.

You can do the right thing here and have the warranty department send me a shipping label for return for both the 6500s. Once they are returned I can work with the dealer to purchase the 4800s. But you need to step up and deal with this, not continue to ignore my emails and simply say talk to the dealer. That is not working and you will soon be in legal violation of your warranty policy. Step up to the plate and do the right thing.. I need the lights ASAP and am done messing around. Mistakes happen and that is a fact of being human. How those mistakes are handled is what is going to define mars hydro support.

My sympathy. If needed you could go to a big box store and get everything you need for a CFL rig that would out-do Mars Hydro crap for a third of the price. PM me if you want. Good luck.

Why can’t a 4x4 work in a 4x4 space? Just run the power lower. I have 680s in my 4x4 and they work fine. A 4800 won’t take less vertical room. If your 4x8 can have 8’ height, 650 watts comes in handy.

I ran a free tester 4800 in my last run. Good light, but It was barely enough power for 10 hrs on time to get a finishing DLI, IMO. That run worked because I was able to get the light close to a flat canopy. I put the 680 back in for the next run cause I may need power. The light is at 450 watts now and they are only starting to stretch.

I understand your frustrations. You go man...

I was in the ecig business for 4 yrs. Bottom line China makes it impossible for vendors to return anything. At times it cost more to return the article than what it is worth, and therefore wind up taking it on the chin, which is total BS if you ask me. Welcome to the millennia's economy. Ain't globalism great? Not!

Keep fighting mang! I do hope you fair out better than I did in the past and, BTW they don't give a shit! (once the product is sold). Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

I heard back from the warranty department at mars hydro. Just when you think it can’t get any better. So anyone buying mars hydro you have ZERO warranty through their dealers. I strongly urge anyone thinking about buying mars products to give a thought to the fact they clearly don’t honor their legal warranty. They are screwing me with no Vaseline and a giant grin. Cover your ass and don’t buy from them. Russian roulette is not a game I’m interested in playing. The warranty is not 5 years anyway, even if you could get a warranty claim.

......We only offer a 5-year warranty for customers who place an order directly on our website. If you would like to return the item for a full refund, please contact the store where you made the deal.

Same thing with GreenWorks yard tools. Only honor from their approved sources, which is them. Best to buy the extended 3rd party warranty if you think you'll need it and buying from independent vendors.

Everyone here seems to use MARS hydro lighting but I never bought into the hype.
I knew the brand only from the forum... so i thought it can't be so bad and when there was a discount at Amazon i bought one. I also got some cash back from them because of some other stuff... so i nearly paid only half of the price. :giggle: Used it only 2 months till now but i'm satisfied, was my first experience with LED also.

I would use the 6500's but dimmed at lower power if u can't change them and the wider size of the 6500 would enable you to cover the canopy better even at lower height therefore u can dim the power even lower. They should last you longer if they're not used at full power .just an opinion and idea..

Why would you want to trade your superior lights for inferior lights for your footprint? I ran a 6500 in a 4x4 at 80% and LOVED it. Always better to have a light you can keep slightly dialed down, it should add to the longevity. I don't think Mars is in the wrong here.
