Zinc df.?

Alright i have 1 true blue and 1 bagseed in veg about a month into it. The bottom leaves turn yellow and die out, only the bottom ones they fade yellow then rot. I took 2 bottom sets off and then 4 days later the new bottom set was yellow. Please help.

wasup bro...
ive never used FFOS but ive read so meny post about how hot it is for youngones...i wouldnt go feeding for the first 4 weeks (most good soils have anuff nutes for a least 4 weeks have a look on your bag )...

oh and you want to get your PH up abit, 5s is no good in soil you want to be between 6 to 6.7...again look on you bag of soil, it should tell you what the ph is, aim for this and the soil should take care of the rest

With a runoff of 5.6pH to 6.0pH, it sounds like your ffof could have used some additional lime. Check the ingredients. If the mix it soil less, there will be no "dirt" added, ~6.2pH will work. If the ingredients indicate soil added you'll have to do like the HIGHlander says and get it up to ~6.7pH or 6.8pH. I don't know how you're gonna do this, maybe MynameStitch could recommend a method.

Are you letting the pots dry out before you water? If your 3 gal pots have enough moisture for a week or more, additional water every 3rd day could be part of your problem. Too much water can prevent nitrogen uptake. This could be the cause of your yellowing. It sounds like the plant is feeding off itself instead of from the roots. Ffof may have enough nutes to get you past 4 weeks, maybe more. Check out a few ffof threads to see when others are supplementing with ferts.

thank you for some help. I'm letting the soil dry before i water, i'm running c02 also so things get used quicker like water and nutes. I took pictures with my girlfriends camera so i'll be able to show you pro's later. The only leaves yellowing were the bottom foremost leaves that touched the soil. So i cut them im not at the house so i can't look at them right now. Checked ph 2 days ago they were low 6's the true blue and the bagseed at least(The two with this problem). The ww's were a little low but their doing fine so no worry's about that. And i'm not watering every 3rd just everytime i check the top soil and drain holes to see how dry they are, then water if neccesary. My ph pen also measures water too so when i check ph it also helps me indicate when i need to water. But i haven't seen them since i took the last yellow leaves so we'll see how it is. Thanks for your help i'll post pictures when i get home.
