ZAMALDELICA: Female or Male?

Hello and appreciate any help I can get. Decided to get some standard Zamaldelica poppers back in December. Germinated six... got for sure, (I thought), two female beauties. Started them on February 1st in my hydro setup and sent one into the bud room on March 26th @ 18". Ten days in (today/April 5th) I noticed this. (See photos). Did I completely miss this as a male? And can someone verify that it is a male? By the way, these are crazy growing plants. Enormously fast and everywhere. My mama is big enough to give hugs now. :tiphat:

Yes, congratulations, you have a boy it seems!
In my opinion I would flower him out
in another environment, harvest the
pollen and use some fresh on mommy.
The great thing about this stud, is how
late it expressed it's sex, opposed to
throwing nuts in the veg room; because
in my opinion based on what I've seen
that the offspring from late expressing
males are a lot more solid against stress
and have better f/m ratios instead of
hermaphroditic tendencies as frequent.

Thanks for the verification, choom. That sounds like a great idea on flowering him out, once I find a suitable place. I see a great future with these girls. 8)

Thanks dubi. These girls are beautiful growing plants for sure. In six weeks in my grow room she has passed the 6' mark. I am going to start cloning today. What is the rooting time on these girls? I read where they need to go in the bud room right from the cloner. Any special instructions? Thanks.

Hi DrUBennett,

Zamaldelica like most tropical sativas are very mold resistant and very easy to root, she will root even just putting the cut in a glass of water and renewing the water every day.

You can clone her in soil, aero, rockwool, etc ... without any problem. Of course, the use of rooting hormones like Clonex would help to accelerate the process.

dubi: That sounds fantastic. I appreciate the information. I will get some Clonex and try that. I always thought that the water would wash off any root enhancers. But I was wrong. Thanks again.
