Zamal x Hash - The Super Fast Pheno

Hi All,

It's a been a good while since I did a grow post but I see there aren't so many for this strain and so I thought I'd share my experiences...

So first off, the background story for this run... I grew out 5 of the Zamal x Hashplant (fem) seeds and though I was searching for a more Zamal sided pheno, I ended up keeping a real Hashplant leaning one from the seed run and this is the first run using her as a mother...

The Zamal effect I was looking for would probably be found in the Zamaldelica (I actually meant to order those but was a bit high when I clicked the "add to cart" button lol) so having not found it, I settled on a lovely fast and weighty girl who shows mostly hashplant traits with some bonus zamal genes peaking out as well.

Description:

Looks - a little wild and airy if you're not careful but with the right feed regime can be nice and tight.

Smell - In flower shes very hashy which when smoked translates to a combination of hash/lemon/coffee.

Taste - Like I said, hash/lemon/coffee.

Hit - Nice body hit with a "hippy high" euphoria.

Flowering Time - 8 weeks to 8 and a half at a push.

Yield - last time averaged 75g+ in 11 liter pots of coco.

Overall - well I clearly really like her, she finishes fast and puts out good weight, I havent tried making hash with her yet but she looks the part (as you would expect). Some folk at the cup last weekend told me I should have entered her in the Indi section - my reasons for not doing so were that, the strain is advertised as 9-11 weeks and I was aiming for 10. She finished quicker than expected and so I didnt get to flush her as I normally would.... this time around she's finishing even quicker... I would say 8 weeks though I might leave a couple 8.5-9 just to see where they're at.


Method:

I handwater coco in 11 liter pots, 7 or 9 pots per square meter tent (strain dependent) with 600 watts HPS. I veg for around 4-6 weeks or until the plant is 18-24 inches tall... for this run I vegged for around 4 and a half weeks under 125watt CFL. Flush consists of 4 days of Ripen and 3 days of straight water followed by 48 hrs dark.

Feed:

Canna Coco A+B, Canna Rhizotonic, H&G Bud XL, H&G Top Booster and GHE Ripen.

I didn't think I was going to be making a journal as such so I never recorded the whole grow, but here's a picture of a cutting at 1 week and some girls finishing off at 7 weeks - I just started flushing them as all trichs are now cloudy. I'll hope for around 20% amber on the first lot I take down ... sorry for the crappy iPhone quality photos... David Bailey, I aint...lol

From seed, this girl took 9 weeks to flower but this time from cutting, I think more like 8 - I'll leave some til 9 weeks to see how it turns out...

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for making these awesome crosses for us guys to work with, it's such a pleasure to grow and smoke them

I've just finished my second go on them, I didn't veg for as long and got a decent 60g+.

I'm still playing with the numbers, how many to run in what size pots etc, but it has to be said, she's a great producer and how much she produces is really up to the grower in terms of veg time... in the right conditions she could be monsterous lol

The bubble hash from her (naturally) is also pretty fricken awesome

Hopefully a little smoke report is ok here Jamie?
Similar story to yours, with some additional crazy foxtailing - I find it very difficult to describe taste of smoke so flavours and taste are fairly unimportant to me; it's the effect I want.
So, a large doobie later, this is what happened. Initially, nothing. For a brief moment I did wonder whether dubi had got this one wrong .
Obviously, he hasn't. 10 minutes later I was enveloped in a warm cloud of fuzzy loveliness. If the high had a colour and texture it would be that of a pink cloud. Long lasting and all encompassing, not a hint of a comedown. Very moreish, takes some effort to work but functioning is possible.
Really good for settling down for adult time with your significant other

That Ace mob is pretty good at the whole breeding thing is the conclusion I'm coming to
There was a freak out to a bit of Earthless tbh, some embarrassing air guitar going on. It makes the heavy psychedelia sound even better.

Same with smells Claude, I mostly get the lemony/citrusy smells, occasionally as with the Malawi, I get a whiff of cat piss so I find it all difficult to describe on the whole.

When I get a whiff of the cat piss I stop and check to see if the bottom leaves have all been chewed off. Sometimes my rodent control fancies a bit of my weed.

I have 7 and still have bloody mice and rats.
Greasy little ingrates - still let them sleep on the bed though
