as a kid I worshiped Yogi, I even had the inflatable Yogi Berra Pitching Kit.

I won't bother posting any links as nobody likes to use them linking out from this site.

as a player he appeared in 14 World Series with the Yankees helping to win 10 of them, 3 MVP awards & 15 All Star games. To say that he and his euphemisms will be missed is an understatement.......

Berra’s contributions to MLB history are incalculable, but his legacy might be even better remembered for what he contributed to American language. A sportswriters’ favorite, Berra had countless expressions and turns of phrase that were memorable because most of them didn’t make any sense. (At the same time, every one had some truth to it.)

RIP, Yogi.

"Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical."

"You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I’m not hungry enough to eat six."

That's my man! ;o)

this might be the best one yet and quite timely.......

His wife once asked Berra where he wanted to be buried, in St. Louis, New York or Montclair NJ.

"I don't know," he said. "Why don't you surprise me?"
