Anyone on the east coast have experience with these girls? Ecsd, chemD, sfv og ghost og? I have extras of each and am considering putting them out, but not sure if they're worth the trouble. I've been told ecsd has a hard time finishing out and chemD is prone to botrytis. No feedback on the og's. Anyone pull off any of these girls successfully?

Chem D will even finish in the UK
Not sure if the ecsd will finish in time.
OG should be ok., depends on the weather.

Thanks for the intel mack. Do you know how D fares in relationl to bud rot? It would be great to put her out I have 5 extras of her, as far as og and the weather, is it a matter of her not finishing or succombing to the elements?

Throw em into 72 hr darkness , bring em out and transplant with nothing but bloom juice with absolutely no nitrogen to retard stretch and force flowering.....

They`ll finish guaranteed , and if possible harvest the upper and outer colas first when the time comes , and leave the lowers another couple weeks to color up and degrade chlorophyll as long as too many frosts don`t hit em back to back....regardless....

Without a nitrogen source , they`ll immediately move to their reserves in the large fan leaves , start to yellow off prematurely as they cannibalize themselves internally , plant senescence will ensue as well hastening the plants to end their cycle and bear seed(in the wild)....anyways...

Really no way to test for fungus , mold , and mildew susceptibility without runnin em and see , so good luck and let us know if you even attempted it.....and if so for sure come back with the outcome....Thanks and.....

Peace.....DHF.....:ying:.....

I could probably do something like that with my sfv and 4sd because they're a decent size alreadyx but the others would need the extra month of veg time to make it worth the work of digging holes and bringing them out. Might try that with those 2 though it's an interesting and out the box suggestion. Cool idea dhf thanks for that.

With respect to mold and mildew yeah thats why I was hoping someone who has run them in NE area might be able to chime in. Sounds like D will be worth it even if she gets a little rot but the others still undecided unless I go with your suggestion

like DHF says you can always force flower them early like i just did to see if my soil will take it to the end with just water 0 feed
I am just into summer and have one in flower haha will see how it goes panda film black on one side white on other would work perfect .
what i did was being in a pot i placed it in garage covered it for 48 hrs and pow shes budding with no stretch what so ever
So you know your area and when frost comes so plan it out if shes starts flowering in around right time to finish if not force it earlier

If it will finnish outside in the uk it will finnish lots of places here in canada, the us. Using the uk is a good benchmark for if you can grow it lots of places...

Thats helpful to know you can finnish chem outside in the uk. Thats really cool to know man.

Id love to see a og outside in the uk. That would be something i never really thought id see

Hey do you outdoor guys ever start plants inside, start flowering a little earlier than normal and then transplant outside so the plants finnish in tougher climates? Say veg big, flower for 2 weeks under hps or whatever you choose inside then transplant outside when flowering would start for the others?

Sorry i only grow inside so i dont actually know

Wish there was another way to jumpstart flower. These are all guerilla style so it makes everything more complicated. If I could do it in my back yard it would be much easier.

Might try the 72 hr darkness method on a few plants. I have 2 ecsd's so I think I might put one out anyway just to see how far along I can take her, or might just do an early pollination and get some seeds out of her at least.

Great news on the ChemD though I'll be putting those out this week. The OG's I think I might just put out as well and see how it goes.

Hey Dr Fever so you did just 48 hours dark and using a normal NPK soil mix, or did you go light on the N amendments? And that plant has no risk of reverting back to veg this early in the season?

Good to know bigdank I think I'm gonna give the OG's a shot. When do they usually finish up for you over there? I have SFV, Banana, and Ghost all gonna get the outdoor suite. Crazy weather around these parts it's like we got almost no rain all spring and now at the beginning of summer I'm getting all the rain I should've gotten the last 2 months.

Interesting soil mix Dr Fever that's about as home made as they come. Ah I see you have a garage to keep the photoperiod. Yeah I wish I had the luxury and access to be able to do something like that. I'll be looking to visit these only once every few weeks.

Id be worried about mould on og buds bein so tight outdoor.

Howecer folks say it works. Cool maybe get a decent yield if you do them outdoor.

Makes sense finish last two weeks inside...

Yeah that's my main concern with the OG's. Gotta do some researching on outdoor grows in my area with them.

You know i tend to think people worry to much about growing at home although its illegal..
where i am if a cop was to stumble across them your surely not going to jail for only a few plants in canada jail time starts around the 6 plant numbers and up anything less they laugh at you more or less so why not have a few n your back yard "__"

Minimum sentancing is 6 plants. You could be arrested and charged for less.

You are assuming cops are decent like you are. They are not they are greasy, good for nothing self serving animals called pigs!

If I had a decent amount of land I wouldn't worry at all, but I have a small backyard and neighbors with kids on every side with nothing but a fence separating them. They would easily smell what I had cooking. Don't think it would go down too well.

I think that sounds crazy to try to grow those strains. If you want a little premature og to smoke, go for it. We cant just put those strains out in northern California and expect top product. Fluffy, Late season, tough to finish without rain.

I usually have to pull around September 25th cus the rains come. The og's are close enough to be done that they have dense, dank, stinky buds.

Last year I did these ogs and they are all my favorite of the crop:

Superman og
Skywalker og
Alien og

Kush varieties:
Mickey kush
Obama kush
Redwood kush

I did a number of other strains but all the kush/og varieties had the most potent and best overall buds by harvest. In an ideal situation they could have gone a Lil longer though. But still a crowd pleaser :)
