Yes, I have already searched this subject but...

Strain: Blueberry Hashplant
Age: 4/8 weeks through flowering.
Equipment: 7, 000 BTU AC, 1 600W HPS, 1 1000w HPS, 6" Vortex fan for INTAKE, Smaller oscillating fan for outake.
Size of room: 12 x 12
Temperature/RH: Day = 70/50 Night=65/50

Problem: The hairs of my bud are transforming from white to a dried up orange color. It began on the bottom of the plant, where the hairs are now burnt off, and has spread all the way to the tops now. After carefully researching the symptoms, I am lead to believe that mold is the problem.

I have cut off all diseased parts of the bud, used Safers Fungicide, increased air circulation, and scrubbed the fucking shit out of some mold that was around my shower.

I know the damage is done already but I have several questions:

1) I kept the veg room in a closet in the flowering room. The mothers are A-OK but I took 25 clones off them for my next attempt. Will the clones have mold as well?

2) If I chop the plants at 6/8 weeks through flowering... could the weed still get me high?

3) After carefully cleaning the room, reflectors, etc with bleach and water does this guarantee that the mold won't return? What else can I do to eliminate the risk of another mold problem?

4) What are my options?

Sincerely bummed out,

Well, crap! Wish you'd have posted earlier. The color change is normal. It's what you want. In the old days, plants were harvested on the proportion of white to brown hairs. These days it's done with microscopes and trich color.

Look through the various bud pics that people post here. You'll see they ALL have the dark hairs.

Hey dude,

I know what normal white to orange hair transformation looks like... this is quite different though. It appears as if the hairs are dying... top of the nugs being burnt down... hairs turning orange this early in the game is quite weird... no?

when I say burnt I don't mean sizzling I mean like drying up..

We're going to need pictures. What you're describing sounds normal to me. I'm not sure If I had mold or not but the one scare I had left colors with an "undead" appearance. Even the dead, dead brown leaves seemed more vibrant and alive in color than the affected areas.

The pics here really don't show the "creepiness" of the color. It was grey, pallid, sallow. Very UNnatural.

Cannabis is a hot weather plant, you have temps that a polar bear would love.

Keep the temp between 77 and 83 degrees F day, and 72 to 77 F at night. Greenhouse growers use hot water heat (steam pipes) at night to stop mold. . .
Add a dehumidifier to the room for night time use, it will also add heat - and turn off that 7,000 BTU AC! Use a heater at night if you don't have a dehumidifier.
