Hi everyone,

Here is the problem: the leaves are turning yellow only on the outter side. The inner side and the tips remain green. This is happening only on the leaves that are on the top. They are in DWC, ph at 6.0, nutes at 780 ppm. They are about 2 months old from seed and only about 1 foot tall...They were under CFL thats why they grew so slowly, now they are under a 400 HPS.
help!!!!

Need more information; + pics would say a 1,000 words.

How big are the plants. What is your water temps.. how often are you checking ph and what nutrients are you using?

here are the pictures...they are under a 400 HPS, about a foot away from the lightbulb. Nutes are GH maxigro at 800 ppm, ph 5.8, roots are a bit dark brown because of light leak in the container, but i fixed it last week. so the roots are growing new white ones. It is in a 5 gallon DWC. Room temperature around 25C. It is about 9 weeks old from seed. I have other Vortex and Alegria growing under same conditions but no problems like this one...help!!!

thats a magnesium def!!! add a 1/2 teaspoon of epsom salts!

other then that nice plant!

each plant needs are different so 'just cus the others are ok' dosent mean 'its ok'
you dont eat the same as your friends do you? same time same amount same everything right?
ok this plant needs some more mag. probably calcium also. throw a little tap in there after bubbleing it for a day or 2(removes chloriene!)

are you using RO water? your ppms are way low for that size of a plant.. some people have 800 ppms for newly rooted clones man.

INcrease your ppms. Your plants are having magniseum and nitrogen problems; your stems are purple the deep dark purple where can be a phosphorus issue...... dark purple stems does not always mean that but I bet it does this time considering your plants are hungry as hell.

not sure what micro nutrients maxigro has, can you list what it says on the back?
how often are you checking ph and ppms?
