Yellowing leaves on seedlings

these plants are a little over two weeks old. They seem to be growing slowly and they are getting yellow leaves. Part of my problem was that the pots are to large for them and the soil was not wet enough. My room was very dry, i now have a humidifier and a fan running. I watered them and i think that i over did it. You can see that the baby leaves are turning yellow on many of them. One is also turning a bit brown on the edges of the leaves (i think it might have been from heat.) I have them in pro mix seedling starter which is buffered with lime and no nutrients. These pictures are a few days old, and the yellowing has gotten worse on some of them.

Any new pictures, have you let those containers dry out almost completely? You can put one into a smaller cup & do a reverse transplant. This one here has been dropped twice & replanted, shit happens. Clones to the right.

The only other seeds I have went straight into 12/12 some Sativas for an experiment. At this point they're identical. I also tied a plant in a knot, it's been in bloom for a week after a nice veg. Now the plant grew very bushy, compact & healthy but the leaves seemed a bit stunted compared to a sister. We'll see how she produces maybe a way to keep them nice & bushy. Just having some fun.

Yes i have some new pics, will be loading them up in the next hour. I was thinking about putting them into smaller containers, how would i go about doing that? It seems kind of risky now that they are already weakened.

I am new to this but here is what I have read to do.
I did this and it seems to work just fine.

Use plain old potting soil from Walmart or somewhere. The stuff for $1.50/bag.
Use a beer cup with holes at the bottom.
Water once when the seed is in there and that's it.
Get your temps and humidity in range.
Ignore it for two weeks, seriously don't do anything to it.
Water it with plain (ph corrected) water at that point.

After 2 weeks they need food. Feed 1/2 strength Grow nutes. Don't worry about the pot size, they will grow into them.

Hey they're looking better, the old stuff is done the new growth looks much better. The promix doesn't look saturated. If you were to transplant a little one I'd protect the foliage with hand & fingers as I pour out the dry soil. You can also just drop them on the floor ;) Than just hold below the foliage & fill your cup with the PM keeping the tap root as straight as possible. You're now on your way & you're going to love that mix, remember pro-mix should never dry out completely & it's PH buffered to boot, that'll save anyone heartache.

Noun 1. buffer - (chemistry) an ionic compound that resists changes in its pH

Did you put them back under the 4' floro's?

You should have put them into cups, when you overwater your plants nitrogen gets locked out. Hopefully you did not stunt them....
You should always have them in cups to help prevent over watering, when you have them in what you have or bigger pots, the water that gets around the rim or near it keeps the inner soil too moist for the seedlings, that is why you should always water where the rootzone is and a small area around it, 1/2 in circumference around where the main tap root is.
You should always keep it moist but never too wet.

If you can keep them a little drier the yellowing may stop, but if it does not you will need to feed them a very small dose.

My plants are a little under 3 weeks right now. i want to fertilize but the soil is still pretty wet. What do you think about a foiliar feed?

You can try to foliar feed them, wet soil is not good, because if the soil stays too wet they can't absorb nutrients from the soil, so go ahead and try to foliar feed it and see what happens.

no no no, do not do that man, use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water for now. That is the max for there size. You use there dosage and you WILL burn them.

If you've fed them don't spray them with nutes, plain water or add some B1 once daily. If you're going to try foliage feeding spray them once with a very diluted dose. Wait a couple days to see how they react.

I would not add b1 daily, ever, would use it when they get older, using it on seedlings is not reccomended. The vitamins are strong and build up easily.
Stuff like superthrive, b52, dark energy and such is the ones I am talking about.

He has not fed them yet.

The only time you need to feed them foliar is until the soil drys out enough to where you can water them with nutrients, but it needs to be the same amount as you would foliar feed them.
If the seedlings had more leaves, it would be safer to use a B1 supplements.
